What a fun and foggy autumn morning at Big Hat Ranch—decorating the barn for fall! We made lariat wreaths and set up an area for photos. This is just a sneak peak of what is to come! The homeschool block this morning did such an amazing job!

Cowgirl, there is no age limit on chasing a dream. 🤎🐴

You’re not too old to climb into the saddle, learn something new, or discover a passion you never knew you had.

Whether you’re 30, 40, or 50, the horses don’t care how old you are. They care about the connection you build, the trust you earn, and the kindness you show.

It’s never too late to become the cowgirl you’ve always wanted to be. 🤠

Come learn horsemanship and ride with us at Big Hat Ranch!

🤠🐴 BIG HAT RANCH – HURRICANE CLOSURE NOTICE 🌪️

We’re battening down the hatches at the barn!

With the approaching hurricane, Big Hat Ranch will be temporarily closed until the storm passes and it’s safe to ride again.

Add-camp and all lessons scheduled through Sunday have been postponed and will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

Our horses, our ranch family, and your safety come first! ❤️

Y’all stay safe, keep your boots dry, and we’ll see you back in the saddle soon!

We made the hard but necessary decision to reschedule our fall camp and prepare—as it looks like the hurricane is headed this way.

Here are some of the tips we follow in preparation of the storm and other great advise from Dr First.

There’s a lot going on at the ranch this week, with camp and all, and I guess we will squeeze in a hurricane too! 🤣😭🤦‍♀️I’m getting some last minute saddle time in before everything begins. 🥰🐴🥰

YALL—WE ARE SO EXCITED!! 1 week until camp starts!! Wear your closed-toe shoes and pants. We will have the horses, games, crafts, and snacks!

If you didn’t make registration for this smaller camp—don’t fret, we have more coming up! Keep an eye out for the dates!

🐴✨ BIG THINGS ARE LIGHTING UP AT BIG HAT RANCH! ✨🐴

The sun may be setting earlier, but that doesn’t mean the riding has to stop!

We’re excited to announce that our arena now has NEW LIGHTING, giving our riders more opportunities to enjoy lessons, practice, and time in the saddle after sunset!

A special thank you to the hardworking man behind the scenes, my husband, Craig, for making this happen! ❤️

More daylight isn’t always an option, but more saddle time is! 🤠
