Trying something new to me: cutting peonies prior to bloom and storing in the fridge for later use. I hear they will keep for up to two months and bloom when put in water. This def works with daffodils…will see!

Back at it today with a ‘want-to’ - finishing two small area rugs made from our alpaca fiber. The third image shows a rug with ‘fringe’ - those edges will be folded over in thirds and hand-sewn. The alpaca yarn was too much for the sewing machine…

Heading back to Mineral Point next week to start a larger 5’ x 7’ rug. Should be the final one!

Wild apple and honeysuckle putting on a show on the hillside right now. When we moved here there wasn’t much for trees on our hill or in the pasture. We’ve only planted pear and willow…the rest we credit to Mother Nature and bird/animal p**p. Grateful.
