Heeeeeerrrrrreees Johnny!!!

Welcome to KOTA Ranch our newest member Johnny (aka Johnny Cash, aka Johnny be Bad). Is he a pony, is he a donkey…? Nay, this little fella is a mini MULE and the coolest dude on the block. He has a pony mom and a donkey dad and was looking for a new pasture.

He’s keeping the old mules company and making sure they get their daily steps in and we’re happy to have him. For comparison, he’s smaller than our 6 month old baby donkey!

Well that explains a lot. Production went down a bit this last week and we knew something was up. It generally happens a little when the coop is due for a refresh (which it is) but a dramatic drop is usually something more.

Not only do we have a lazy snake looking for an easy meal, our girls are a little stressed (rightfully so!)

Here soon we’ll be doing our biggest chicken coop overhaul yet and we’re all for the upgrades. While this little dude is harmless and actually beneficial to have around the farm, your dudes not allowed to bother the hens and steal the eggs 😂
