FULL SISTER TO THE $26,500 HIGH SELLER

Her dam has been knocking them out of the park from the beginning. Her first calf was a $7,500 bull, followed by a heifer we kept, and then our $26,500 high-selling bull last year to Jirl Buck in Oklahoma. This heifer is his full sister.

I love this girl for her soundness. She’s so correct on the move and never misses a step, with all the body and easy-doing kind you could ask for in a High Maine.

We shaved her this spring when it got so hot, and that hair is really starting to come back now.

Her dam has earned her way into the donor pen, and we expect plenty more from this cow family.

And to top it off, she’s puppy-dog tame and loves scratches—which makes her really easy to own and really hard to video!

Proven cow. Proven mating. Full sister to a $26,500 bull. Dig in here.

Apex is all the hype—and we can see why.

We have two Apex females in this sale, and they’ve been standouts from the beginning. They looked awesome as babies and are even better now.

Swipe through the photos—the first was taken at the beginning of September and the second just last week. With this cooler weather, she’s really starting to hair back up, and man, is she coming on.

E36 is 11 years old and still getting it done every year. That’s exactly the kind of cow we like behind cattle—one that’s proven she works.

Go show her. Then go make money with her calves.

YOU CAN TALK ABOUT IT.
OR YOU CAN BUILD IT.

Everybody has ideas. Plans. Goals.

But at some point, you have to quit talking and start building.

One decision. One mating. One cow. One calf crop at a time.

The cow pictured is a maternal sister to K61, the dam of Lot 52 in this year’s female sale. Another piece of a cow family we’ve been building around for generations.

You can talk about building a cow herd.
Or you can start building one.
Start here. Lot 52.

OVER $300,000 IN ONE COW FAMILY.

Lot 8 | L70 | 1/2 Blood Simmental

One of the best half-bloods in the sale—and royally bred.

Ooh La La. Dirty Dancing. F02. Bankroll. Those cows alone have generated over $300,000 in progeny, and this is only her dam’s second calf.

I photographed Sandhills Swag at Triangle J and he was my favorite bull there that year. Werning’s must have agreed—they purchased him and have used him heavily. I got semen from Scott and used him on some of my favorite cows.

This is exactly what I was hoping he’d make.

Awesome to look at. Beautiful front and face. Stout from behind. Flawless structured. And really starting to hair up.

Go chase banners. Then make money in the donor pen.

And if you like the cow family behind Lot 8, keep scrolling—Lot 55 offers full-sister embryos to L70’s dam.

GREAT COWS MAKE GREAT COWS.

This is exactly what we mean when we talk about building cow families.

F20 and her daughter J19. Two generations of cows. Both working to Maternal Made.

F20 is the dam of J19.
J19 is the dam behind Lot 5.
And F20 has another daughter selling as Lot 24.

The “20” cow family has been one of those families that just flat works around here. A20, C20 and F20 have generated over $100,000 in progeny without ever being flushed.

And J19 is carrying it right on — averaging over $12,000 per calf so far.
Different generation. Same sire. Same kind of result.

When a mating works, we don't complicate it.

Two generations. Two females in this sale. Same cow family doing what good cow families do.
