Remi would like to make it clear that working in the heat is no joke and to remind everyone that it’s okay to come in a pass out on the couch.

Happy Monday to all you beautiful people!

We had a busy but productive weekend. We got all the goats copper bolused and given their dewormer protocol. Speaking of I am going to be posting about that soon because of a conversation I had with a buyer that backed out because they wanted goats that they didn’t need to ever deworm. 🤦‍♀️

Anyway, that will be when I have a little more time. With my oldest in college I have a lot more to handle on the ranch.

But I did want to wish you all peace and joy in your day! Find someone to make smile today. You’ll feel better and so will they! ♥️

Update: They worked her in so she didn’t miss any appointments. I showed them the photos and they understood. 😮‍💨

Weeeell things have been complicated this far.
We’ve missed our first appointment and praying we make it to the next one.

It’s frustrating when you get penalized for things that are completely out of your control.

Praying they’ll work her in.

A very, very long day ahead. Up and going before the sun is up.

Our youngest has a full day of appointments at MUSC for her heart. Echo, ekg, stress test, and the appointment to talk with the doctor.

With Myhre syndrome it’s all about medical surveillance. The hope is to catch things before they get to bad. Myhre is a connective tissue disease that affects the entire body. Close attention is paid to the heart and lungs.

These days wear her out so please say a prayer for safe travels and for her to find joy in the day.

Today is going to be rather busy, several appointments, school and therapy, but I wanted to wish each of you a bee-autiful day!

May you find beauty in the small things, for therein lies joy. Happy Thursday!

I hear people say all the time that they can’t find a good dog in a shelter and it blows my mind. Remi is a rescue and an amazing one at that. We do not know much of her past other than she was hit and mistreated. The first time we swatted a fly she tucked her tail and ran to her crate. She was terrified of the broom and would cower from it. Seeing this just broke my heart.

We’ve had her about a month now and while she is still not a fan of the broom I can sweep and she will just stay laying where she is at. The fly swatter is still closely watched by her, but she doesn’t run away anymore. She watches what we use it for and that’s to kill houseflies. She has been such a perfect addition to our home and we are so thankful to call her ours.

Remi wishes everyone a goodnight. It’s been a long day here and the bed is calling me.

Good morning to all you beautiful people! ♥️

Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and prayers. Your kindness shines brightly.

I feel like things have been crazy in the health department for me since turning fifty. I know people tell you things change, but goodness gracious it’s been intense.

As my wonderful amazing hubby told you (y’all don’t know how much he hates social media) I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and doing the torture, I mean clean out prep. About midday I wasn’t feeling to chipper, but figured who would?

By midnight things went sideways. I’m type one diabetic and my blood glucose had dropped to 77. That’s not that low for me and certainly would not make me pass out normally. I’m not even sure that is what caused it since it happened three times. I’m thinking it was my blood pressure, but again, I don’t really know.

I don’t remember much of any of this, but I know I was shivering and sweating and was worried I was going to vomit.

An hour later, I had to go to the restroom and I guess I passed out in there and fell into the tub.
Hubby and son were in a panic at this point (youngest was sleeping thankfully) and loaded me into the car and hubby took me to the ER.

I guess the prep had severely dehydrated me and screwed my electrolytes up. My blood pressure was 145/60 then 109/43 bouncing all around.

I’m feeling better today, still tired and pretty sore from all the falls, but I’m okay! This is but another bump.

These photos are a great example of how I’m looking at this, which is as a lesson. I’m not sure what the lesson is just yet, but I know a few things.

1 I take great care of myself. I eat right, I exercise and take all my medications.

I trust that the Lord has a reason for this. I do not see it or understand it, but that’s ok. I know He is in control.

2. I know that when we do our part God is always faithful to do His part, life’s road, no matter how much the terrain changes, is going to lead us where we need to go.

This is the same flower photographed from different perspectives. They’re the same flower even though they look different. My life looks very different right now, but it’s still my life and it’s still beautiful, just like that flower.

May this Lord’s day bring you peace and strength to take on this next week and any terrain changes it may bring.

It might take me awhile to catch up to all your pages, but I’ll be working on it.

Love to each of you! ♥️
