Good morning to all you beautiful people! ♥️
Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and prayers. Your kindness shines brightly.
I feel like things have been crazy in the health department for me since turning fifty. I know people tell you things change, but goodness gracious it’s been intense.
As my wonderful amazing hubby told you (y’all don’t know how much he hates social media) I was scheduled for a colonoscopy and doing the torture, I mean clean out prep. About midday I wasn’t feeling to chipper, but figured who would?
By midnight things went sideways. I’m type one diabetic and my blood glucose had dropped to 77. That’s not that low for me and certainly would not make me pass out normally. I’m not even sure that is what caused it since it happened three times. I’m thinking it was my blood pressure, but again, I don’t really know.
I don’t remember much of any of this, but I know I was shivering and sweating and was worried I was going to vomit.
An hour later, I had to go to the restroom and I guess I passed out in there and fell into the tub.
Hubby and son were in a panic at this point (youngest was sleeping thankfully) and loaded me into the car and hubby took me to the ER.
I guess the prep had severely dehydrated me and screwed my electrolytes up. My blood pressure was 145/60 then 109/43 bouncing all around.
I’m feeling better today, still tired and pretty sore from all the falls, but I’m okay! This is but another bump.
These photos are a great example of how I’m looking at this, which is as a lesson. I’m not sure what the lesson is just yet, but I know a few things.
1 I take great care of myself. I eat right, I exercise and take all my medications.
I trust that the Lord has a reason for this. I do not see it or understand it, but that’s ok. I know He is in control.
2. I know that when we do our part God is always faithful to do His part, life’s road, no matter how much the terrain changes, is going to lead us where we need to go.
This is the same flower photographed from different perspectives. They’re the same flower even though they look different. My life looks very different right now, but it’s still my life and it’s still beautiful, just like that flower.
May this Lord’s day bring you peace and strength to take on this next week and any terrain changes it may bring.
It might take me awhile to catch up to all your pages, but I’ll be working on it.
Love to each of you! ♥️
