Our lovely new friend Margaux at Art Is My Nature was one of our first farm visitors and chose to paint this wonderful holiday picture of our alpacas. It obviously had to come live with us here 💕 we’re amazed to keep meeting such talented people.

It has been such a pleasure opening our farm gates this year, and introducing you to our fuzzy friends here in the beautiful Hilltowns.

We’ve had a wonderful time meeting some of you at farm tours or in the shop. It’s been great hearing what interests you about alpacas (even when it’s just the socks 🤣) and what you might like to see on the farm in the future. We’ve taken lots of notes, so stay tuned for 2026!

Most importantly, we want to wish you a very happy and healthy 2026. And we hope to see you back at the farm soon - at least once some of this ice has melted and we can actually walk!❄️🥶

These two sweet white girls just joined our furry family. Guess which one we’ve called Snowball! The other girl is Sierra.

These naughty girls went on an adventure today. We were 2 hours away, and got a call from our daughter. 4 alpacas had just sauntered past the house. Their gate had opened and off they went exploring all over the place.
Momentary terror but Charlotte calmly coaxed them into the front pasture by the chickens, locked them up and saved the day.
Lesson 1: secure gates!
Lesson 2: keep calm and bribe alpacas with grain…they will follow anyone with grain… 🤣

So how warm is alpaca wool? Warm enough that stubborn Rosa Maria would prefer to lay in the snow on a 5 degree day, than stand and walk for me!
