Fresh Out The Kitchen: OCTOBER 2026!
**This update is best viewed on a desktop or in Desktop Mode.**
I'm Awake - HAPPY OCTOBER!
Hey friends!
Fall is here, and it's my fave time of the year! I'm always looking forward to the color changing of the leaves. And before you interject to complain about the inevitable return of winter, just know that I am team winter in advance, and I will not agree. I'm a December kid from Cleveland - what do you expect?!
In September, I completed my first 5K! While I did not run, I was quite proud for reaching my goal with this - I just wanted to walk it in less than an hour. I DID IT! I clocked in at 54:00, so that was VERY exciting! There's no way I would've done this a few years ago - mostly because I would have A LOT of physical limitations. I've overcome so much to make that happen. If you didn't know, I've been on a personal healing/wellness journey for the last few years. On September 28th, 2020, I went through a very traumatic medical experience, which caused PTSD. Continuing to prioritize my physical and mental wellness always remains my top priority, or I would never be able to have the energy to do this week after week!
The kiddos have A LOT of school activities going on at the moment, and it definitely keeps me VERY busy. You will be seeing quite a few schedule mods in the upcoming weeks as I balance with Mom life as a school volunteer and general involvement with my family life! We only get to experience each day 1 time, and I make sure that my family always stays a top priority. I know I run things differently here, but that's always been the plan. That is why I am self-employed. It allows me the flexibility that I need. There's always so much unsolicited pressure for expansion that I'm disinterested in. I just want to be able to continue to have the opportunity to be able to prioritize being able to provide for my family by doing something that I love. I'm so beyond lucky that I have the ability to do something that I'm absolutely passionate about, and make it my own. I just wanted a space to create. A place where I can enjoy mindfully prepared meals on a regular basis. With ingredients that I know; In the form of my favorite childhood food. I enjoy being more creative with options and am more of a "specialty" shop vs traditional. Moving in to Lazelle just meant moving my home kitchen a few miles down the road. I am still a "home baker" - but I've licensed a space of my own so that I could create and share my fresh pierogi (and more) with all of you. I also choose to share other fresh foods as I have time - including homemade soups, salads, baked goods, & more. I produce large "small" batches only in order to maintain quality. I am sharing the same food with you that I am sharing with my family. I use very minimal ingredients that are more processed in my recipes, and build most things entirely from scratch. I use ingredients sourced locally as I'm able- especially from my farmers. I am proud of the meals I create, and this space truly is a one of a kind experience. If you're searching for more traditional options regularly, I may not be your gal, and that's ok! I'm truly just here, along for the ride, and enjoying every moment that I have in this space. Thanks for allowing me to continue to have this space to share!
As market seasons continues to wind down, I will be "resetting" a little bit before heading back into my full time schedule. I have decided that I want to reorganize my workspace a little bit and also get some deep cleaning done. I know that this would be the only real opportunity that I have to take the time and make it happen. A little bit of time to finally get caught up on some of my behind the scenes work that falls behind once I'm dealing with both kids in school while prepping for the market.
I'm excited to start cooking a little cozier - bringing soups back on board and cinnamon rolls, of course! I can't wait to enjoy what I'll be cooking up this fall!
OK, time to scroll for actual immediate updates - There's actually quite a few things going on this time. Thanks for being here. You belong here.
Peace, Love, & Pierogi,
Lizz
-INGREDIENT QUALITY- This is a QUALITY FIRST FACILITY. That means, I mindfully handcraft each flavor optiuon using only high quality, fresh ingredients. I tend to shop small and locally as I'm able in order to produce them, especially during market season. The eggs that I use, as well as a decent amount of the meats found within my specialty pierogi, tend to be farmed locally. Experience the difference.
--ALLERGENS: Allergens found regularly include Dairy, egg, and wheat. Other major allergens that may be found in store regularly may include but are not limited to: Peanuts/tree nuts, soy, and possibly sesame. Please ask regarding specific allergens. All of my pierogi contain dairy, egg, and wheat-always.
- If needing to inquire about my business or placing a large order, PLEASE EMAIL ME ONLY @ [email protected] --- please allow time to respond, as again, I am the ONLY PERSON.
I do not check social media messages, as I'm not on there very often. If it is a time sensitive question regarding business hours, please be sure to check Google, Social Media, my Website, etc. In store availability is always found on social media stories each day that I am open. I attempt to update if things sell out, but sometimes, I am unable to due to working with customers. On Saturdays, I offer an additional update as I'm able as well.
THANK YOU, WESTERVILLE! It's so hard to believe that another Westerville Farmers Market season is officially in the books - Time flies when you're having fun!
I'm already looking forward to being back out there in June 2027! In the meantime, please plan to come visit on a walk in day!
*double check Google or my website for schedule modifications ahead of your visit. I plan my availability around my family's needs.

--- MODIFIED HOURS ON THE WAY
I am officially in the thick of all of the school activities. First quarter is already coming to a close, fundraisers are in full swing, fall is our favorite season, etc. Life is busy. Please expect that there may be changes to my schedule at any time with minimal notice. All current in store updates can always be found on Instagram. Planned modifications will be found on the website homepage.
OCTOBER 2ND: 1P-4:30P
OCTOBER 9TH: 2P-6P
*additional updates may be coming soon.
--NOVEMBER AHEAD
*Thursday walk-in hours will return the first week of November.
*Be on the lookout for Customer Appreciation Announcements - this year we celebrate 5 YEARS ON LAZELLE! Thank you so much for your continued support to allow this dream to continue to trudge along! It's the little biz that could.
--PRE-ORDERS
Pre-orders are not required to enjoy my fresh pierogi! Pre-orders are always prepped *in addition* to my standard par levels for store/market. When you plan ahead, so can I, and it allows me to be able to accommodate more of you!
Pre-ordering is ALWAYS available Saturday evenings - Tuesdays at 10am with the upcoming week's fresh offerings, unless specified elsewhere. Why doesn't pre-ordering remain open beyond that? All fillings are scratch made fresh. Some flavors are batched smaller than others. As a micro-biz, I am not equipped to handle a large swing in quantities post initial prep.
I CLOSE OFF PRE-ORDERS AS NEEDED BASED ON VOLUME. *If my system is "no longer taking orders" before the Tuesday cutoff, that means that I am unable to take additional orders.
All orders, with the exception of orders for 5+ dozen (pierogi), are to be placed directly through the website. Orders for 5+ dozen please email me at [email protected] in order to confirm availability. You will be invoiced from there once details have been confirmed.
I am probably forgetting to mention a million and one things, but I do not have any other updates at this time! I will continue to send out additional emails as needed to communicate upcoming schedule Mods or other announcements. I can't wait to see you all back in store soon!
Peace, love, & pierogi,
Lizz
