Well… the cows staged a jailbreak early this morning. One cow slipped out first, and of course four heifer calves followed right behind her like she was leading a field trip. And where did she take them? Straight into the 2‑inch‑tall beans instead of the perfectly good grass waiting in the pasture. Nothing like teaching the next generation all the bad habits. Farm life keeps us humble.

Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. I woke up to flowers, handmade crafts, and so much love… and then got the sweetest surprise of all — a brand‑new calf born just as we got to the pasture. Moments like these remind me how lucky I am to live this life and be surrounded by the people (and animals) I love.
