Today we sold our horse trailer that we've had for over 5 years.

I was sad to see it go. It was such a good trailer to us. Trusty, steady, and always ready to haul wherever we needed to go.

This clip brought back so many memories. I miss these days when the kids were so little.

While it's hard to say goodbye, I'm thankful it's going to another family who will get to make their own memories with it. I hope it serves them as well as it served us.

Do you ever get sentimental about objects because of the memories attached to them? ❤️

8' short wall.
22' on the floor 6'8" on the gooseneck
Good tires with spare.
Lights work.
Brakes work- Probably need adjusted.
Boards are good with rubber matts in back.
Outside has some surface rust but no rot.
Very nice king size purple mattress.
Inside done 4 years ago
Air conditioner works.
Vinyl plank floors.
Insulated with electric outlets and lights.
Have an older rv futon that goes with it. Was going to put bunks in it but never got the time.

Another **100% fertility and hatch check** from our Bucking's Beautys Hatching Eggs!

I continually set our eggs to test hatch rates, fertility, and overall chick health. I want to make sure I'm providing the best quality hatching eggs possible.

We are going to be posting a **Summer Hatching Egg Sale**

My mind is already racing with ideas and plans for the fall and winter season. I'm constantly thinking about new breeding pen arrangements, exciting color combinations, and even new names for our egg assortments.

I only wish these pink eggs would show their true color in photos! Unfortunately, Facebook seems determined to yellow everything out. You'll just have to see them in person to appreciate how beautiful they really are.

What pen combinations or egg assortments would you like to see this fall?

What is going on in the bird community?

My news feed is FULL of breeders either largely downsizing their flocks or getting out of birds altogether. These screenshots are just a few examples from this morning, but I counted 24 different posts just this morning in a 15 minute window.

We actually started downsizing breeds and varieties at the end of 2024, because we could see where the market seemed to be heading. It feels like the market is flooded, and I think a lot of people are realizing how precious time is and wanting the freedom to do other things besides being tied to animal care 24/7.

I'm genuinely curious what everyone else is seeing.

Do you think it's:
The seasonal slowdown as summer arrives?
Rising feed and supply costs?
The worry with all these intense storms lately?
Lack of sales because everyone and their mother has birds now?
Too many people jumping into breeding and saturating the market?
Families being busier with sports, vacations, and activities?
Hatcheries producing more than demand?
The spring impulse buys?

Or is it a combination of all of the above?

Are you seeing it in all livestock species?

I'd love to hear from breeders, hobbyists, and buyers. What are you seeing in your area? Are you downsizing, staying the same, or growing?

✨💜 Nellie's 10th Golden Birthday 💜✨

Today we celebrated our sweet girl with all of her favorite things wrapped up in a GOLDEN birthday party! 🌟 For the kid's golden birthdays their theme is all things Gold and their favorite things.

💜 Her favorite color, purple.
🍕 She loves pizza so she picked pizza for her meal. Even though she'd prefer Daddy's Homemade pizza.
🥒 A pickle charcuterie board for our pickle-loving birthday girl.
🏍️ A dirt pudding topped with with 4wheelers because she loves riding her 4wheeler.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family all together, because the people she loves most make every celebration special.
🐱 A cat cheeseball, 🦔 a hedgehog cheeseball, animal crackers, and even eating snacks from dog bowls because animals are one of her greatest loves.
🍹 A colorful punch that matches her bright, fun-loving personality.
🍪 And of course, a massive tower of cookies because Nellie can never have too many cookies!

Ten years ago, this amazing girl blessed our lives and filled them with laughter, kindness, adventure, and more love than we ever imagined. Watching her grow into the beautiful person she is today is such a joy.
