Hidden Acres We are a family owned, regenerative farm. We grow a variety of garden produce,blueberries &strawberries. We have pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork.

We are passionate about farming and teaching others. We are located in Henry County,Indiana. Randy & Tracy and their 5 sons own and operate a u-pick fruit farm. Our goal is to provide a place where families can spend the day, enjoy the outdoors and pick farm fresh produce.

Some days the decisions are just too hard. Ms.piggy was just not working out as a breeder sow. We had to make the rough decision to take her to the processor. She definitely lived a charmed life while she was here. We try our very best to give top notch care to all of our animals….. still doesn’t make it any easier.

I’ve been praying over Tillie since before she was born. This is her technically second milking! No kickers, no stanchion….. just standing allowing me to milk her. That is answered prayer! That is Gods goodness! I’ll admit to being very apprehensive about milking her. Every cow is different and when they have never been milked before….. well, you just don’t know what to expect. She initially kicked me pretty hard in my leg, but settled right down and let me milk her. I’m in awe of Gods goodness!

We got so tired of playing “ where’s Waldo” with Lenny . We swiped one of the dogs trackers to put on the calf for a week or so. It’s really nice to know where this little one is….. they hide in the weeds so well. Protecting themselves the way God created them. Nature is so awesome!

A little sigh of relief once the first successful milking is accomplished. It’s quite amazing what a calf can do just one hour after birth. Nature is a beautiful gift from God. So thankful for this healthy little calf! Name still to be determined 😊

Watching for the first nursing is agonizing! We try to let nature play out and not interfere or intervene unless necessary. Tillie is being an amazing first time Momma!
