Hello, flower friends! 🌸 It’s been a little quiet over here this summer, but we’re still here!

This summer has been full of growing, learning, battling bugs, battling heat, planting, replanting, and figuring out what works (and what does NOT).

And finally… the dahlias and zinnias are starting to make an appearance! 😍 I just love them!

I’m still waiting to see exactly what the fall garden has in store before making any promises, but I’m hoping to offer a limited 4-week fall bouquet subscription beginning later this month. 👏

If you joined my fall subscription waitlist earlier this year, I haven’t forgotten about you! You’ll get first dibs if spots open.

Taking a little break from flower posts to tell everyone to plant a blueberry bush. Just do it. They’re so easy, so delicious, and so good for you. Ours are just coming on and I might not tell the kids 🤫

Question for blueberry growers- do you prune your bushes? I’ve read different things about if I should prune them or not. 🫐

It’s been quiet over here because May just about did us in!

🌸 I had the absolute pleasure of doing all the flowers and some of the decorating for my brother and his new wife’s beautiful wedding!
🌸 We survived my oldest child turning 17 at the same time. 🤪
🌸 Barely made it through awards days, concerts, field days and end of year school parties for all four kids 🙃
🌸We integrated our baby chicks in with the big ones.
🌸 The kids all finished another year of school. Summer break has officially begun! That comes hand in hand with catching frogs, lightning bugs, roasting hotdogs, eating lots of watermelon, staying up too late, and spending lots of time as a family.

Since our summer will be more of the same insanity we won’t be selling flowers during the summer.

Happy Earth Day 🌎🌿

These peonies are one of my favorite reminders that some of the best things take time…

I planted these last fall, and it will be a couple years before they really hit their stride—but getting to see even a few blooms already feels like a little bit of magic.

Growing flowers has a way of slowing me down and reminding me to pay attention to the seasons, the soil, and all the small progress happening beneath the surface.

I’m so grateful for this little piece of land and the chance to keep learning how to care for it—and I can’t wait to share more of these with you in the years ahead.🌸🌎🌱

A happy load of subscriptions that went out this morning 🌸 Our final one goes out in two weeks!

The early heat has wrapped up some of my spring blooms a little sooner than usual, but I’m so grateful to partner with my friends at to continue bringing you fresh, beautiful, locally grown flowers.

A little behind-the-scenes that I haven’t shared yet…

I planted 135 peony plants last fall 💗

And now a few of the very first blooms are starting to open. Their beauty takes my breath away. SO MANY PETALS. And the smell…! Literally heaven 🙌

Peonies take a couple years to really get going, so I didn’t expect any blooms this season. It’s been a fun little surprise to see colors other than green out there!

I’m already dreaming about what these will look like in a few years 🌸

Anyone else love peonies like me?! 🙋‍♀️
