With some beautiful fall weather in the forecast, there's still an opportunity to add certain hardy plants to your landscape before winter settles in. ๐ŸŒฑ

Think planting season is over when summer ends? Not quite! ๐Ÿ‚

Even though we've had some chilly mornings, the forecast is showing some beautiful fall weather ahead, and there's still an opportunity to get certain perennials in the ground!

Cooler temperatures allow many hardy perennials to focus on developing strong roots instead of flowers and new growth, giving them a head start when spring arrives!

A few things to remember:

๐ŸŒฟ Choose hardy, well-rooted perennials suited to our area.

๐Ÿ’ง Water thoroughly after planting and as needed until the ground freezes.

๐Ÿ‚ Add mulch to help protect the roots.

Choose the right location for each plant.

A chilly morning doesn't necessarily mean planting season is over! But as we get later into fall, plants have less time to establish before winter.
