This is 54!! 54 years around the sun as of today. Made a wonderful bacon wrapped scallop dinner, with sauteed asparagus and stir fry flavored rice-a-roni. The rice was a nice change of pace because I usually make the chicken flavored.

It's been a great ride so far. Things are going really good at home. Mrs. Recipe Thief and I will be taking a little trip at the end of the month so be ready for some really cool new stuff!!

I've visited my Mom a couple times and took pictures but it was pretty much the usual stuff so decided to pass on posting. I haven't had the time to be creative or find stuff for a long time. Maybe I just need to start slow and do something like once a week 🤔

Hello my friends!! I'm starting 2026 with a better attitude and have more fun with this platform. I'm going to have a better work/life balance and do the things that I want to do. made quite a few posts about things like "wear the dress" or "eat the dessert" and it really hit home that I rarely take time for the things that bring me joy or happiness. I'm always concerned more for other people whether it's at work or home.

I'm deciding that it's okay for me to selfish once in a while and do something for myself. I'm proud to have purchased some delicious filet from and paired with red blend. I got a great sear using my cast iron pan and then finished in the oven and then allowed to rest.

Maybe a little later or tomorrow I'm going to catch up on the dinners I made at my Mom's place back in December. One of them was sent to me by a good friend so I want to take my time with it. I'll see you next time on The Recipe Thief!

Hello my friends!! I had another good visit with Mom this weekend and I realized that I never put a picture of the pan that I talked about last time. So here are the pictures I took this time around. I'll get to my own Google search eventually but in case you wanted to search on your own. I've used it quite a few times now and it is beyond amazing!! A simple dinner tonight. I picked up the chicken tenderloins because the Purdue chicken breasts are huge and hard to cook evenly without having to butterfly them. Yukon gold potatoes and broccoli done in the oven. I'm not good at sauces but the chicken was moist and tender. We're planning for salmon tonight and filet for Saturday. Mom is going to be eating good as usual!!

I found this pan at Mom's place a while ago. I normally grill everything but I think I did salmon and her grill gets too hot. The pan was my Grandma's and I was unsure if it would work. I was afraid that the salmon would stick. I was totally wrong. I've used it a few times since and it is one of best pans ever!! I'll get more pictures up later so I can figure out who made it and what is made of. And I'm sorry for talking smack about but you have to try it to understand.

Hello my friends!! It's been a really long time. I'm visiting Mom again and it's decided to get back posting. Im here this weekend so there will be more to come. So I'm a little late as usual... skirt steak for the win!!! Simple seasoning with steak seasoning and it brought out the fabulous flavor. We also made a cheesy smashed potato that turned out great. I think the first one we saw was from and he made it and it was fabulous!! Have to finish it with the deliciousness of Butcher's Ale from . A delicious dinner was had by all. Get ready my friends!! Here is the start of grilling today. Been off all weekend and doing family stuff. I wanted to know how you're remembering the people that gave everything for us? I donated twice to the veterans raising funds outside my grocery store because I had to go there for stuff I forgot to get 🤦‍♂️. has the best skirt steak around so I had to get it. I'm also doing a smashed cheesy potato in a bit and I'll have more details in a little bit.

Hello my friends!! So I did a surprise visit on Mom this weekend and got her good! I asked her what she wanted and she decided on salmon. I found .1868 seafood seasoning, made some asparagus and a Knorr rice pouch that she had in her pantry. I got to use my Grandmother's pan from way back when again and it did great!! I think I'm going to sneak that out one day 🤔

The Carnivor Zinfandel was really good with the salmon. A slight jammy texture to it and big fruit flavor with a hint of chocolate. Grab it if you see it.

I'll be back out here the beginning of May to do some planting for Mom and we will figure out what I'm gonna make then. I hope you had a great weekend and I'll see you next time on The Recipe Thief 💖💖💖
