The freeze took much of the bluebonnets, paintbrush, but produced a bright yellow hue in its place. We truly love this front yard, considering all we started with was a big piece of dirt, a chainsaw and a tent on weekends. We make a heck of a team, Vickie!

It's been almost a year since the beginning of Twisted Oak Ranch and the set up continues. Half of library is now complete. The next half will be a mirror image on opposite wall/corner this summer when outside temps will encourage inside labor!

A lazy afternoon. Mango is about 80 hours old. She is having a great start. Knows how to drink water from the trough, starting to graze, running circles around mom, and discovered she likes her chin scratched.

A chronology to date of the ranch. Camping in a tent while clearing brush from hidden oaks. Establishing a mailbox. Laying the foundation for the barn. Over 50 truck loads of gravel and base for 1000' driveway, including grader work. Organizing inside of barn. Culvert installation, then a second culvert on a low spot near future home site. Chicken coop and future wood shop. The Kubota, probably the best money we spent. Having Lowes delivery fencing and more building materials. Birth of Mango. Expanding the stable. Installation of house foundation. An exciting four month long endeavor.
