Kalo mina! The branches in our garden are heavy, and the final quarter of the year is officially here. 🍋🌿

At spi·ti·kó, we are heading into the busy season with major goals, exciting new things in the works, and our second birthday just around the corner! 🎂✨

As the pace quickens for all of us, here is our message for the final stretch: Q4 is a hustle. While you are chasing deadlines and navigating crowded calendars, don’t forget to pause. The momentum is important, but so is taking time to gather, slow down, and share good food with the people who matter.

Here is to a strong, successful, and fulfilling last quarter for us all. 🥂☀️

What an incredible 3 days! A massive thank you to everyone who came out to support us at the Spring Fair. 🌿✨

If we went completely quiet on here, it’s because we were run off our feet! Between the busy queues and going back and forth to the kitchen to roll dolmades and bake fresh batches for the next day, Michael and I barely had time to look at our phones.

But the late nights and tired feet were so worth it. We had the loveliest conversations with so many of you. Seeing people enjoy our food and sharing a little piece of spi·ti·kó with the community means the world to us.

Thank you for the chats, the patience in the queues, and the overwhelming support.

The Spring Fair is officially open and the vibe is incredible! 🌿✨

It has been a busy morning here at the WPCC, and the live music kicks off at 2:00 PM. We are inside the hall serving up fresh spanakopita, dolmades, spicy feta dip, baklava, portokalopita and and and... 🇬🇷

Come browse the stalls, grab some authentic Greek food, and enjoy the afternoon outside under the tent.

The 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 is 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄! 🌿✨ Catch 𝐬𝐩𝐢·𝐭𝐢·𝐤ó at the WPCC for a massive Heritage long weekend celebration from 24–26 September. 🇬🇷

We are setting up inside the hall right by the bar. Come grab a drink and build your own ultimate Greek meze plate - load it up with our fresh tzatziki, spicy feta dip, spanakopita, keftedes, dolmades, and traditional flatbread pitas. Make sure to leave room for dessert, because we are bringing trays of freshly baked baklava, kataifi, kourabiedes, and our signature syrupy portokalopita!

The Rondebosch Community Markets team has put together an incredible lineup for the whole family:

What a Saturday! If things were a little quiet on our pages yesterday, it's because it was absolutely all hands on deck. 😅

Pulling off a double-header with stalls in both Capri and Mouille Point takes some seriously tight logistics and a whole lot of planning.

It was incredibly busy, but all the amazing chats and seeing so many of you made it completely worth the crazy schedule.

A massive thank you to friends and our family who stepped in to help us get to and keep both stalls running smoothly!

For those who stopped by, you might have noticed the "something new" we teased about earlier in the week. We did a very quiet soft-launch of our Karidopita (walnut syrup cake)! With the madness, we didn't get a chance to shout about it as much as we wanted to, but we are so glad it finally made its debut on the table.

There is no resting just yet for the spi·ti·kó kitchen! We are straight back into prep for the Rondebosch Community Markets Spring Fair Celebration. Come and enjoy the spring weather with us!

Our kitchen has been running on high-speed (and a whole lot of fresh orange juice) all day! 🍊

Between getting the weekend orders out the door and prepping for the double-market tomorrow, our ovens have barely stopped. From zesting fresh oranges for the portokalopita (orange syrup cake) to boiling the dolmades, the kitchen is smelling absolutely incredible right now. 🇬🇷

We are bringing your 𝐬𝐩𝐢·𝐭𝐢·𝐤ó favourites to both sides of the mountain, so come say hi. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

𝐀𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝, we are heading your way this weekend! 🇬🇷

As an 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 Greek kitchen based in Tokai, markets like this are a real treat for us. We don’t often pop up on this side of the mountain, so this Saturday is a special opportunity to come say hi and stock up on your Greek favourites in person!

We are bringing out the big trays for the 𝐏𝐨𝐩-𝐔𝐩 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 at the 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛. Come early to grab a slice of our portokalopita - orange syrup cake (as you can see, it goes fast! 😉), mix and match from our trays of Greek pastries, get some meze (dolmades, spanakopita, dips, pita….), we will also have fresh Koulouria Thessalonikis (traditional Greek sesame bread rings).

We may also bring something brand new, come and see… 👀
