Making better use of the space you already have can completely change how a home feels, especially when the renovation also gives you the chance to fix existing issues properly.

On this project, we’re replacing areas affected by water damage while opening up the living spaces, modernising the flooring and updating the finishes.

So while the home will look and feel completely different once it’s finished, the work behind the walls and under the floors is just as important as what you see at the end.

Getting started on the demo stage of this home renovation!

Water damage was a major influence for this customer to do this project. As you can see, the floorboards have been damaged over time due to poor drainage and runoff from the backyard.

Before we can start putting everything back together, we need to strip it back, finish assessing the damage and make sure the drainage issues are properly addressed so it doesn’t happen again.

Did you know we can open up your living area with larger windows and doors?

At this Bayview home, one of the changes we made was increasing the size of the sliding doors out onto the deck.

Along with the other changes throughout the home, it opened the living area right up, brought in more natural light and made the most of that view over Bayview.

Yes! If structural engineering is required, we work with engineers throughout the project to make sure any structural changes are properly designed and documented.

Whether we’re removing internal walls, opening up living areas, adding an extension or dealing with something unexpected once work begins, we’ll coordinate the engineering required to make sure the work is done properly.

Sometimes once we start a project, we uncover things that mean the original plans need to change.

Here, the existing foundations weren't sufficient, so we worked with our engineer to rework the plan and make sure everything was properly supported.
