For an extra spicy and warming chai this winter, try following our traditional method for preparing it directly on the stove:

- Place 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml) in our Copper Milk Warmer + Chai Pot and cover with water
- Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 mins
- Add milk if desired and warm through
- Strain into your favourite cup using a tea infuser or our Brass Tea Strainer
- Complement with honey to taste

Chai can be enjoyed daily, especially for morning or afternoon tea to invigorate and restore.

Maca is a cruciferous vegetable native to Peru and looks similar to a parsnip or radish. This Peruvian plant has various health benefits such as boosting libido, increasing energy, and improving mood. It also helps manage menopause symptoms and blood pressure.

The Incan warriors were reported to use maca before heading into battle to boost their strength and stamina. Today, it is widely used by athletes to improve physical performance. This is due to its rich antioxidants and nutrients including vitamin C, copper and iron.

In women, it balances oestrogen levels which regulates menstrual cycles and balances PMS. It may also relieve night sweats, hot flashes and even increase bone density. In males, it improves fertility and boosts libido.
