We Came home from Melbourne with delicious mulberries from the in-laws’ tree. Our family don’t let us go home empty-handed… doesn’t matter how far we live 🍇😂😍🥰👌 🍇 ❤️

A week ago today, we were lucky enough to do a pasta-making class with Signora Franca Crudo, and honestly… it was such a beautiful experience.

Meeting Signora Franca and her Children — the incredible Calabrian woman and family behind Asfalantea — felt so special. I’ve followed her on social media for so long, watching her keep our Calabrian traditions alive: making bread and pasta with ancient grains, creating perfumes from the wildflowers that grow in the rocky hillsides, and cooking simple, traditional meals using ingredients straight from the land.

Seeing her in person, teaching us, singing, and sharing those stories… it made me emotional, but in the best way. I will always be thankful to my Nonni and parents for everything they lived through and everything they did to give us a better life. And moments like this remind me how important it is — no matter your culture — never to forget where your roots come from.

Signora Franca, it was a true pleasure meeting you, and we hope to see you again in Calabria. 🇮🇹❤️
