On March 10th at 7PM, Executive Chef Daniel Wright welcomes Chef Andrew Sargent alongside Chef Truman Parsons for an exclusive 8-course tasting menu you won’t want to miss.

Manhattan In the Making Part 2: Cold Working

Once the glass has cooled and hardened, the shape is refined with precision tools. This step removes any rough edges left from hot working and gives the piece its clean, crisp line.

Cold working is slow, careful work. It’s where the glass is prepared for polishing so it has that sharp, architectural finish known for.

Manhattan In the Making Part 1: The Base

The hot-working phase is where the base of the glass is sculpted. Once the initial glass is reheated to a workable temperature at roughly 2,000℉, it’s pressed, rotated, and refined until the molten mass takes the shape of the desired silhouette.
