We were sad to hear of Phils passing. He was raised on the ranch and sired by Phil Adams son of Smart Chic Olena. He was certainly one of my favourite horses I’ve trained. We sold him to Grant Duncalfe as a 4 year old who got him confident in the roping pen then eventually sold to Matt Switzer who continued to have much success team roping.
One of those horses that stay in your heart.

We were happy to have a couple ranch raised horses in the Manitoba Rope Horse Futurity rode by some talented guys.
Grant Duncalfe on his Smarter Image brown gelding placing third in the 5/6 year old ltd head horse as well as some Breeders Elite earnings.
Murray Moran rode Susan and George Friesens Smarter Image dun gelding prospect in the Ltd 4 year old head horses and had a good showing having just recently started on live cattle.
Congratulations to these skilled trainers.

We were happy to contribute to our friend Grant Duncalfe and his saddle series roping and breakaway finals. Pictured is the winner in the breakaway Shyla Fuchs. We had the talented Spur on Leather make this snazzy head stall for us. Congratulations!

2 year old filly by Dual Reyish. Video was in June. Her dam has NRCHA earnings over 30k as well as NCHA. She has produced a stallion (Holly Times Two) by Hickory Holly Time that’s still showing NRCHA. This is her second foal. She was started in cowhorse training but Dale said she’s definitely a cutting horse.
She’s still pretty stingy but coming along.
