Out there doing the work and getting the word out about the PRFI Food Hub 💪

Over the last two days, our Food Hub Coordinator, Michelle, and Board of Directors representative, Cait, attended the Below Ground Soil Conference in Dawson Creek where we shared to a wider audience about the Peace Region Food Hub and the Northern Routes Food Network

They sat on a panel talking about Local Food, Real Logistics along with Donovan, from The Homestead in Goodfare (AB), that explored their experiences of opportunities, challenges, and successes of building local food systems across the Peace in both Alberta and British Columbia.

The admiration on how the Peace Region Food Hub is moving the wheel forward by choosing collaboration over competition in the BC Peace was echoed a number of times 👏🏻

Thanks to your support, we’re growing with food from farmers around the Peace available in even more areas as we serve FSJ, Hudson’s Hope, Dawson Creek, and Chetwynd.

Tell us, what makes it a challenge for you to choose to buy local food?
