Our food truck journey began in July 2020, but our story started years earlier in our own kitchen. We spent years cooking and selling homemade Salvadoran food, sharing the authentic flavors we grew up with and pouring our hearts into every meal.

As more people discovered and fell in love with our food, our dream continued to grow. What started in our home kitchen became a vision to bring authentic Salvadoran cuisine to communities across Vancouver Island through our food truck.

Today, we’re proud to be a twin-owned, family-run business serving fresh, authentic Salvadoran food made with tradition, quality ingredients, and love. Every pupusa, taco, and plate tells a piece of our story, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us—from our kitchen days to the food truck.

✨ From a little orange trailer to a dream on wheels… ❤️🇸🇻

Five years ago, we started with a small orange trailer, big dreams, and a whole lot of faith. Back then, hardly anyone knew who we were. We just hoped people would give our authentic Salvadoran food a chance.

Fast forward to today… look at us!

We’ve grown into a full-size food truck, served thousands of amazing customers, sold out at events, and built a community that feels like family. Every order, every share, every recommendation, and every kind word has helped us get here.

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth every early morning, late night, and challenge along the way.

To everyone who has supported Pupuseria Las Gemelas from day one—or just discovered us recently—thank you. You are part of our story, and we wouldn’t be here without you.

Here’s to remembering where we started, staying true to our roots, and dreaming even bigger for what’s next. It really hits close to home when since the day we came to Canada in 1990. (That’s another story to share at a later date)🇸🇻❤️🇨🇦

What an incredible July 1st ! We were completely blown away by the amazing turnout. We sold out and had to close earlier than planned!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by—whether you’re one of our loyal customers or you were trying our authentic El Salvadoran food for the very first time. Seeing so many familiar faces and meeting so many new ones made our day so special. We hope you loved every bite! 🇸🇻💙
