Who needs a clean tone when you can make a thick wall of distorted ambiance? Born of the 80s, and inspiring heavy hitters like The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth, and My Bloody Valentine, this genre has stood the test of time. Eventually it spawned into what we know today as shoegaze.

Like our one-off hop-forward beers, the Broadcaster was a short lived guitar. The model remained and changed to the Telecaster due to trademark disputes. It was a legendary guitar, and we are paying our respects to the legacy of this 1950s electric guitar.

We loaded this Hazy up with a new hop blend from Freestyle Hops grown from a single block on their farm of Riwaka, Southern Cross & Motueka.

FRESH HAZY DROP๐Ÿ’ง: TOMORROW

The Broadcaster, an exceptionally rare guitar from 1950/51, was only produced for a few months by Fender before a trademark dispute with Gretsch drums over the "Broadkaster" name.

Fewer than 250 exist in the world.

A sub-genre born of the Californian Palm Desert rock scene in the 90s. Not to be confused with Stoner rock, this fuzzy guitar riff driven style was about meandering groove and tight musicianship. Of the genre, the most popular to spawn from the desert was Queens of the Stone Age and Fu Manchu. ๐Ÿœ

A "modern" take on the West Coast IPA, we leaned into fruitier, danker hops using Hogarth Malt floor-malted pilsner, instead of pine-forward, crystal malt.
