We’re closed Sunday and Monday to enjoy this beautiful Thanksgiving weekend with our family and friends.
We’re so grateful for all of you and the wonderful community that supports us year-round.

The Square is OPEN, the construction is FINALLY over, and we’re celebrating with a little throwback to where it all began!

After two very long years of construction, we’re bringing back our original farmers’ market booth, right outside the café, complete with those familiar green boxes that so many of you hunted down every Saturday morning for your croissant fix. If you know, you know!

And because it’s Thanksgiving weekend, we’ve brought back another old favourite: Pumpkin cheesecake with a gingersnap crust!

This recipe goes right back to the early days of our business and has made many appearances at our own family Thanksgivings since. Thanks to a very special customer who ordered one this year, we decided it was time to share the love and make mini versions for everyone!

We’re open 7–5 TODAY!

Bring the family, enjoy the celebrations, and come see the Square without the construction fences! Or sneak away for a few precious minutes of peace, coffee and cheesecake before the holiday chaos begins. We support both approaches.

And don’t forget to STOCK UP! We’ll be closed Sunday and Monday to enjoy some Thanksgiving time with our own families.

Sending warm wishes to all who are returning to school tomorrow! We will be closed on Tuesday, September 8, and back to our regular hours on Wednesday (7 days a week from 7am-5pm).

Sometimes our breakfast table looks like this. 😂

A smorgasbord of very specific requests:

Focaccia, lightly grilled and cut into rectangles.
Bacon, crisp. Two slices cut into squares, one piece left whole.
Chocolate croissant, cut into rectangles.
Milk, but in the tiny glasses. Obviously.

One child knows exactly what she wants, how she wants it, and will absolutely notice if you deviate from the brief.

The other is mostly here for a good time, but somehow also has very strong opinions about bacon geometry.

Breakfast around here is less “What would you like?” and more “Please submit your specifications to the kitchen.”

But I suppose there are worse things than raising two little people who know exactly what they like. 😂❤️ What are some bizarre food specifications that come from your kitchen?
