The owner, Helen Bruno, retired at 50 from running her successful business in Canada and mainly in the United States. This is a hobby farm with two barns and 36 stalls; all stalls are big and monitored by CCTV cameras; CCTV also monitors the gated property and paddocks. We have room for 36 mares, but that's not us. We are looking for only 5 mares with our two. Our goal is to work with these mares
as our project to watch great results from their foals on the race track. That is our goal to enjoy with pride. We have 3 retired horses that live 24/7 outside with a nice big shed room. Our paddocks are supplied with shed rooms. In the last 22 years, Helen has focused on racing horses for pleasure. But, in the previous 5 years, her love has gone into breeding. She has bred her two mares and noticed her work has succeeded. From a two-year-old winning a $250,000 stake race to a top earner of the year, the rest are winners of mid-priced purses. Of $50,000 to $90,000. She also discovered that her horses are strong with minimal vet bills on the track. Helen always believed a strong racehorse starts from conception, That is, the time of feeding the mare good quality grains, Vitamins and other products that build a foal with solid bones and an excellent immune system; the feed is served 3 times daily and a combination of 7 different items mixed with the grains and lots of good quality hay. We are grateful to never experience a runny nose on the horses or infections. Helen also believes that the mares should sleep in their stall at night, as it is easy to monitor them. This is a haven farm for mares, peaceful, loving, well-fed, and cared for while in or with their foal. We have 4 experienced people working on the Farm, two of whom care for the foaling lives on the property. Helen used other farms during Covid 19, and drama after drama, the lack of common sense produced considerable vet bills. That's when Helen realized how different her Farm is: zero drama and no extra visits from the vet. Helen has so much love for breeding that she would like to share her success with other mares to help them produce quality racehorses, which will give her so much satisfaction and pride. We have a knowledgeable vet and blacksmith living 5 minutes from the Farm. Our feed store is down the street, and we are one of their best customers for the last 20 years. The great Guelph Animal Hospital is a 15-minute drive from the Farm. Blessings, we never used. We could ask for 36 mares, but we are not a commercial farm; we are a hobby farm, and quality is more important to us than quantity. Broodmare and foaling on site.
