Ever wonder what it takes to turn a lavender field into a bottle of essential oil? 👀

It starts with a 100% copper alembic still!

This still photographed was handmade in Portugal, shipped to our farm in 2018.

Every summer, our lavender is hand-harvested at peak bloom and packed straight into the still. Water heats up below, turning to steam that rises through the flowers, gently pulling out their fragrant oils. That steam travels up through the swan neck, cools in the condenser, and comes back down as liquid. The process is about 3 hours per batch, and sometimes we do multiple runs a day during harvest.

During distillation there is natural separation of two things:

🌿 Essential oil — the concentrated, aromatic gold that floats to the top

💧 Hydrosol — the gentler floral water left behind, just as useful

Both go on to become the soaps, mists, roll-ons, and bath salts you see in our shop! But it all begins right here, with copper, steam, and a whole lot of lavender. 💜

This year we have NEW stainless steel distilling equipment that you will see us using during the Lavender Festival — Come see distillation in action during our open festival hours

Motanka Choir | @
July 18th at 1 pm

“Motanka is a Ukrainian women’s choir rooted in Victoria. Named after the traditional faceless Ukrainian motanka doll, the ensemble brings together singers united by a love for Ukrainian culture. Since motankas have no voice, we sing for them, sharing traditional and contemporary Ukrainian music that reflects heritage, resilience, and hope.”

Their program will feature a blend of traditional Ukrainian folk songs and works by Ukrainian composers, ranging from beloved classics to contemporary pieces. To help audiences connect with the stories behind the music, we briefly introduce some of the songs in English. For selected pieces, we also provide translated lyrics to highlight their meaning while preserving the original Ukrainian performances.

Saundane Band
July 19th at 1 pm

Saudane is a four piece band that plays pop, soul and rock covers with some original indie pop mixed in.

These young musicians have been playing together since high school and are excited to continue to play together. Saudane consists of Anyas soulful vocals, Stavros’ bluesy guitar work, Teaghan’s groovy bass lines and Kai’s driving dynamic drumming. Saudane is ready to provide a diverse upbeat sound to a venue near you.
