Thank you to everyone who has supported our little farm stand. After trying it for the 2025 season, and reopening it briefly this summer, I've realized that balancing harvest time and the required social media posting with my massage practice, raising a teenager. And wanting to enjoy adventuring out in the world, isn't sustainable right now. I'll be closing the self-serve stand for the remainder of the season, but I'll still occasionally offer surplus produce, eggs, and other homestead goods when available or upon request. I don't know what it will look like for the future really. I just know that the amount of time I put into it vs the actual public interest doesn't add up. For our regular egg customers, they will still be available to you.
I'm so glad so many of our clients have learned to grow their own food. That is the biggest reason I hear from people why they don't purchase something from us, so that is still a win.
Keep growing! And where needed, Pivot!

Can we pause to celebrate these beautiful greens?!
I love love love salad season!πŸ₯¬πŸ’šπŸ’œ
The colours and textures, make greens one of my faves to grow. And eat. Pairing them with different herbs, proteins, nuts and seeds makes it a different meal all the time.
These are picked, washed, spun, and packed every morning for the farmstand.
Salad. It's what's for dinner. (Especially in this intense heat!)πŸ₯΅

We have been having a busy summer so far and just got back from a week on the water (pics to come), so with a "better late than never" attitude, looks what's back!!
With a soft launch we re-open our sweet little farmstand. (Some things sold before I could even grab this video!)

Right now we will have organic salad mixes, rhubarb, herbs, and green onions; all perfect for these hot days and dinner time! Who wants to cook when you can make a decadent salad? It is certainly my go-to meal when we are living on the face of the sun. Fun fact: because of the water content in lettuce it actually help you to stay hydrated and helps lower your body temperature. "Cool" eh?πŸ˜‚

This year again my amazing friend Sara is back with her sourdough creations; bread, bagels, scones, and cookies.

The granola is a fave in my belly also, late night snack βœ…οΈ. Cool breakfast βœ…οΈ, girl dinner βœ…οΈ.

Eggs are in the cooler again as well but they are always the most popular buy and are first come first served. We do have regular customers otherwise, so if they're in the cooler grab 'em while you can!

Welcome back to the farmstand! As the gardens grow and produce there will be many more additions, including flowers and preserves.

It's a most wonderful time of the year!πŸŒ»πŸ‰πŸ₯•πŸ₯¬πŸ§„πŸ…πŸžπŸ₯―🌞

We have been quietly busy over here; a lot of gardening, birthday partying (which included a massive tree falling and crushing our storage building that housed our camping/fishing/paddling gear, that needed clearing before the camp-out portion of the party!), protecting our animals from a sneaky fox that took out over 20 of our chickens by building a new run, and lastly our sweet boy Ari has been unwell but thankfully is starting to get better. We are preparing for summer holidays while trying to keep running this race. If you know me well you know I don't like that pace. Things are starting to get checked off the list and soon enough we will float away on our annual houseboat adventure (counting the days!!!). When we return from that expect the farmstand to finally open - better late than never! In the meantime I've also been working on a surprise behind the scenes that I'm so excited to share! 🌞

Last weekend I went to one of my favourite spots and brought home one of my favourite kind of farm friends.
13 new muscovy babies to add to the flock. I just love their little sounds and their little jelly beaks so much! Plus they're amazing at not eating my garden while hunting down ticks and mosquitos!
Now I'm dreaming of a duck house with a duck run, and all kinds of sweet ways I can make their lives safe, and of course totally whimsical.
