19yr old Grade Curly Horse Gelding
If you’re looking for a special horse for the family, here’s your unicorn! 🦄
Curly is on consignment with us and came here in June for after having a couple years off. He has been put through the paces and worked the season for us in our program doing lessons and Summer Camp, with many different riders from confident beginner to advanced.
We are pleased to offer a horse to the public that has passed the qualifications required to be used in a program like ours.
✅ up to date on farrier, deworming and dental (just had dental done in June)
*does get a cough when the smoke outside is heavy or on dusty hay. Owner has only ever had to provide minimal maintenance with Zev. It fluctuates with the smoke
✅ loads/hauls
✅ bathes
✅ will tolerate fly spray-not his strong point
✅ Good with barbed wire and electric fence
✅ good on the ground: gentle, yields front and hind quarters, works at liberty (which helps when he runs away the odd time catching in the pasture), stands tied, respects space.
✅ safe under saddle: collects, yields front and hind quarters, side passes, easy walk/trot/lope and his version of a gallop (not that fast, prefers slower speeds), good stop and back up. Will adjust to the riders ability. Best for a confident beginner. Not a dead head, can be shy of other horses, but still real honest and careful.
✅ rides English, Western and ba****ck
✅ Does well on the trails. Alone or in a group
✅ Good with obstacles
✅ Has been worked over jumps
✅ Has some experience working cattle
This sweet boy has already stolen the hearts of many kids and adults here. He’s a good boy with a lot to offer.
