Stretch Family Farms We are a 5th generation family farm located by Ponoka, Alberta. Our focus is on sustainable farming and regenerative ag.

We offer an assortment of meats including chicken, beef, and lamb, as well as sourdough and tallow.

Yay!

Always exciting to have our first lambs of the year! Just a couple hours old and they are up and drinking from mom. Now I just need to make the kids leave her alone for a while. :) She is being a good mom and let me up to check on the lambs and give them selenium, but would much prefer we leave her alone to take care of her babies.

Cool how much a few extra weeks on grass makes!

These are from my same laying hens, some were eggs from around mid April that were hiding in the back of my fridge and some are fresh from yesterday! Shortly after the older eggs were laid we moved the chickens out to a bigger pen where they would have more access to grass and bugs that come with spring.

Which eggs are the new ones??

Needless to say.... I do not recommend myself as a hair dresser 😆, but Cas the llama will still appreciate it when it gets hot out!

Been a gong show of a day between some calving issues and sick kids, but happy to get this job checked off and return him to the field so he can get back to his job chasing away the coyotes. He was a really good letting me lead him across the road and out to the pasture before I took off his halter.

We brought Cas home when he was 7, with the hope that he would help to protect our herd from coyotes that had been killing our calves. He has definitely been a big help, and is always sure to be entertaining. Today he would be about 19 years old and is still great at his job!

Ill be in Ponoka tonight and tomorrow evening for soccer, and in Red Deer Thursday afternoon if you're interested.
