6 new ewes added to the farm. Thank you Linda Dekok for raising them and letting me add them to my flock.
Two of the girls came with names, BabyCakes and Suzy. I’ve since named Charlotte and CakePop, although technically I named CakePop three years ago lol.
As most of you have realized I name all my ewes. The green and blue circled need names and Im taking suggestions, green is a pure Suffolk (5yrs?) and blue is a Suffolk/Dorset (5yrs?). BabyCakes and CakePop (mother/daughter, 5yrs and 4yrs) are Suffolk/Cotswold. Suzy is about 8yrs old and is a Suffolk/hair cross, and Charlotte is a Suffolk/Dorset around 5yrs old.
We are currently up to 25 ewes with these 6 new ones.
I’ve only picked one ewe lamb for sure out of this years batch of lambs. So we may be up to 29 ewes by November, if I can stop procrastinating and actually pick who to keep. There’s at least 5 ewe lambs I need to choose from but I may just keep the one I already picked or all of them 🙃
