🐝 After 10 years, one of our most-loved products is ready for its next chapter.

We’ve been making our Beeswax Cold Creams for a decade. The labels have changed along the way, but two things haven’t: the formula and the price.

Cold cream comes from an old beekeeper’s skincare tradition - a rich emulsion of water, oils and beeswax that is much more substantial than a modern lotion. Deeply emollient and protective, it leaves that beautiful richness on the skin that we especially love in our Northern climate. ❄️

And ours truly is a farm product. We tend the bees and harvest their wax, grow our calendula, wild-harvest our rose petals and rosehips, and make the creams ourselves right here on the farm. 🌹🌼🐝

But Waxwing has grown - and it’s time for this product to grow with us.

We’re updating the formula with EcoCert-certified ingredients for improved shelf life and stability, along with a few other thoughtful upgrades, new packaging and new pricing - while keeping our farm-grown, wild-harvested and hive-produced ingredients at the heart of it.

🍳🪵 Two little tins that can bring some of the hardest-working things in your kitchen back to life.

Our Cast Iron Seasoning Puck + Wood Wax are made for maintaining the cookware and wooden pieces that are meant to last for generations.

🔥 CAST IRON SEASONING PUCK

Made with lard, beeswax + grapeseed oil, our seasoning puck makes it easy to properly season and maintain cast iron.

And there’s actually some pretty cool science happening when you season a pan.

When a very thin layer of fat is heated on cast iron, the oils undergo polymerization - essentially creating a tightly bonded network of molecules that forms a hard, protective layer over the iron. Repeating those thin layers builds that beautiful, dark seasoned surface that helps protect against rust and improves your cooking surface over time.

Every puck comes with detailed instructions for doing it properly - including how to restore an old cast iron pan and bring it back to life.

And it’s not just for cast iron! Use it on carbon steel cookware, Blackstone-style griddles, BBQ grates and other seasoning-friendly cooking surfaces.

🪵 WOOD WAX

Our wood wax is a simple blend of mineral oil + beeswax + lemon essential oil designed to condition and protect unfinished kitchen wood.

Use it on:

• Cutting boards
• Butcher block + wooden countertops
• Charcuterie + serving boards
• Wooden utensils
• And more

The mineral oil penetrates and conditions the wood while beeswax helps create a protective surface and leaves it looking beautifully refreshed. The lemon essential oil gives it a fresh, clean scent that’s especially welcome on boards that regularly see things like garlic and onions. 🍋🧄

Everything can change in a season. 🤍

I laughed watching these two clips because you can literally see how much slower I get. 😂 The first is May while 30 weeks pregnant, with two three-week-old Pilgrim goslings following behind me. The second is August at 40 weeks pregnant, with those same two goslings nearly three months old.

But these two are extra special to me.

In May, I had the incredible honour of being with my grandmother during the final weeks of her life. Shortly after losing her, my friend Heather surprised me for Mother’s Day with these two little goslings.

My grandmother’s maiden name was Gossling. 🥹🤍

I mean… have you ever received a more thoughtful gift?!

So all summer, while I grew a baby, I got to watch these two grow too- following me around the farm, getting bigger and bigger while I got slower and slower. 😂

Cold + flu season, we see you. 👀 Our elderberry syrup is made with raw, unpasteurized honey, elderberries, rose hips, ginger, cinnamon + cloves.

Elderberry has actually been studied for respiratory illness, with research suggesting it may help reduce the duration and severity of cold and flu symptoms.

I keep a bottle in the fridge all season. I love it added to tea or poured over ice with sparkling water + a squeeze of lemon. 🍋
