We are incredibly humbled by the love and support our family and business has been shown over the past several days. It has meant more to us than words can express.

We know that many families, businesses, and farmers throughout our community have been impacted by this disaster. The generosity, compassion, and willingness to help that we've experienced from our family, friends, neighbours, customers, and the entire community has been nothing short of incredible. We truly cannot thank you enough!

Today, we are officially back up and running. While we're open, it is not business as usual as we continue recovering, cleaning up, and working hard to get caught up after the past week.

For that reason, our front retail counter will remain closed until further noice while we focus on processing existing orders and getting operations back on track. We kindley ask for your continued patience during this time. In order to help us we ask that customers refrain from calling, leaving messages or coming to the business unless it is something that needs to be dealt with immediately.

Depending on the weather this weekend and if everything conitunes in the right direction, we are hopeful to be back to full operations sometime next week.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work through this recovery. Like so many others affected, we're taking it one day at a time-but we're incredibly grateful to be moving forward.

Community Update🚨🚨

We are still here, and we are fighting with everything we have to keep the water out of our building.

At this time, Tofield Packers remains closed until further notice. The magnitude of the water surrounding us is astonishing, and despite continuous efforts to pump it away, it just keeps coming. Pictures and videos simply do not do justice to the unbelievable volume of water that has nowhere to go.

For the last 48 hours, family, friends, and staff have been working around the clock, inside and outside the building, keeping pumps running and doing everything possible to ensure our berms hold and relieve the pressure against the building. The support and equipment we have received from our family, friends, and staff has been nothing short of unbelievable, and we cannot thank everyone enough.

Unfortunately, the water surrounding us continues to rise despite these enormous efforts. As of right now, our coolers and freezers remain unaffected, and we are doing everything in our power to keep it that way.

We also want to acknowledge that we are not alone in this. Our thoughts are with the other businesses and residents affected by this situation, and we sincerely hope it prompts meaningful discussions within the appropriate channels to ensure proper infrastructure planning and protocols are put in place, so that situations like this can be prevented or managed more effectively in the future. We know many are facing similar challenges, and we are thinking of everyone during this difficult time.

To our beloved customers we ask for your understanding during this crisis. With the scale of what we are dealing with, it is simply impossible for me to respond to every message, text, and voicemail. Please know they are appreciated, and I will provide updates as we know more.

At this point, there is no end in sight. With more rain in the forecast, we are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. I honestly do not know what the next 48 hours will bring if conditions do not change.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, offered help, brought supplies, operated pumps, stood beside us, and kept us in your thoughts. We are exhausted, but we are not giving up.

Please keep praying, hoping, and cheering us on. We are still here, and we are still fighting.

We were hopeful this morning that this would be under control by this afternoon, unfortunately the water is not stopping and we are continuing to do everything we can to prevent it from entering our building. We are so thankful for everybody that has been working endlessly all day to help us with this devastating situation, whether it was hauling sandbags, bringing pumps, paling water, bringing food, From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU!!!! we will update again when we know more as of right now we remain closed.

⚠️ Temporary Closure Notice ⚠️

Due to the flooding in town and the water surrounding our business, Tofield Packers will be closing all services for today.

We want to reassure everyone that our building is safe and there is no water inside. However, our parking lot is flooded, making access difficult and creating safety concerns for our staff and customers.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as they become available.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a very special member of the Tofield Packers family, Joan.

Joan was part of our team for over 24 years, dedicating herself to the sausage kitchen and smokehouse before passing the reins on a few years ago. Even after stepping back, she never stayed far—she would still pop in to visit, check in, and brighten our day.

Joan will always be remembered for her carefree, fun-loving personality. She had a way of making work feel lighter, making everyone laugh, and making sure no one ever went hungry. Whether it was a full belly from something she made or a sweet treat from her well-known secret stash of candies, Joan took care of people in her own special way.

There truly wasn’t anyone Joan didn’t get along with. She had a gift for bringing people together and making work feel like family.

She will be deeply missed by all of us here at Tofield Packers and by the many customers and friends who knew her.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Joan’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
