17 years of harvesting the same Centennial hops from Sartori Cedar Ranch.
You hear a lot of people talking about 'terroir' when referring to w**e, but it is the same for hops!
Hop terroir is the complete natural environment - including soil, climate, and the microbes that live within the soil that creates unique conditions for plants to adapt so they can thrive. Terroir affects the oil content in hops and the ratio of aromatic terpenes within it. Every year, this causes the flavours to change slightly!
The Centennial hops we harvested this year were noticeably heavy with lupulin, creating the complex flavours and aromas of melon, pine, and citrus we love in this b**r.
Have you managed to try Sartori yet this year?
