Our son turned 17 in his first billet home, chasing some pretty big dreams of his own.

There’s something special about watching that stage in a young person’s life — when an interest becomes a passion, the passion becomes a bit of an obsession, and somewhere along the way, confidence starts replacing doubt.

They’re not quite where they’re going yet.

But you can see it.

The work ethic starts developing. They begin taking ownership of their own dream. And suddenly you realize you’re not watching a kid who wants to do something anymore — you’re watching someone who has decided they’re going to try to make it happen.

That’s where this local kid feels like he’s at, folks.

Meet Denver Bohdal, a talented musician and songwriter from Essex, Ontario.

His newly released song “Before I Could Drive” has become a favourite on the Rosa’s playlist, and we think you should hear it too.
