And what an experience it was being a guest on CBC Radio One’s Weekend Morning Show Manitoba to chat about StrEAT Feast Festival and the small businesses it impacts in Winnipeg.

🥹A huge thank you to Lou Alarkon of Alark Co. Events & Marketing, co-owner and organizer behind StrEAT Feast Festival and Lyn Alarkon , for bringing me along and giving M3 Cravings an opportunity to be part of the conversation.

🎙️We talked about how StrEat Feast Festival really celebrates food, culture and community because Alark Co believes Winnipeg absolutely deserves it.

🩵We also brought the M3 Cravings Signature SBT Sinigang Birria Taco Box for them to try!

There’s something pretty surreal about sitting in a radio studio talking about a business that not that long ago was just an idea I kept putting off. Now I’m talking about M3 Cravings on the radio, feeding people my food, and watching this little dream become tangible and real.

🏍️I even got the opportunity to chat about The Litas Winnipeg, MagMoto Rides and the Breast Cancer Pledge Ride. What a blast!

🫶🏼I’m so grateful for the opportunities, for the people who continue to open doors for M3 Cravings, and this amazing Winnipeg community that continues to show up for local businesses.

Here’s to creating more spaces where small businesses can be seen, heard and supported.

🥹A moment I never imagined would happen. M3 Cravings is in the Winnipeg Free Press!🩵

When I started this little dream, I never imagined that just weeks later I’d be talking to a journalist about the story behind M3 Cravings, my love for cooking, and what it means to take a chance on myself.

The article talks about my journey from a 22year corporate career to stepping into the unknown starting M3 Cravings, and why I decided that it was time to stop putting this dream on hold.

It’s not lost on me how much life can change in an instant. Sometimes you reach a point where you realize you can keep waiting for the right time, or you can just jump and take the leap of faith that my daughter, C R I S T A L I A N A reminded me is not new to me.

I’m incredibly grateful to Lou Alarkon & Lyn Alarkon of Alark Co. for connecting me with Tiago Resko to tell my story, and to Mikaela Mackenzie for capturing this photo while we prepped for StrEAT Feast Festival . And most of all, I’m grateful to everyone who has supported M3 Cravings, shared a post, placed an order, showed up at a market, brought friends and family, tried my food, or simply encouraged me along the way.

✨This little dream is just getting started.

I walked away from the career I spent years building, and bet on myself.

Over the last couple of years, life has had a way of putting things into perspective for me.

Between my breast cancer diagnosis and then my husband’s brain tumour diagnosis, life reminded me just how quickly things can change.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I started wondering. If life is this unpredictable, am I spending the rest of mine the way I truly want to?

For years, I built a career helping people with their dreams of buying a home.

But over time, I realized I was craving something different for myself. So here I am. Trading mortgage applications for pots and pans. Client meetings for pop-ups. And a career I knew, for a business I’m building from the ground up…

And it’s mine.

Starting over IS scary. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this. You don’t need to have every step figured out before you take the first one.

If you’re thinking about making a change, here are 3 things I’d tell you:

✨ Start before you feel completely ready.

✨ You don’t have to abandon your past to create a new future. Everything you’ve learned comes with you.

✨ Build something you’d be excited to work hard for.

For me, that something is M3 Cravings.
