The Thanksgiving 🦃 preparations are in full force in the bakery this week!

The dinner rolls, the cinnamon rolls, the pumpkin spice skrolls! All the pastries you could think of. Cookies for days. And a full Thanksgiving Dinner on a pizza to boot.

Here is how to week will look in terms of baked goods:

📅 Thursday - Select pastries, cinnamon buns, scones, biscuits and cookies
📅 Friday - Artisan Loaves, bagels, focaccia, rolls and everything Thursday had.
📅 Saturday - Full lineup of baked goods, breads, sweets, pastries and so forth.

Skip the Saturday rush and pre-order before 10AM Thursday. Otherwise, we'll see you at the Farm Store.

Sober October in just got a whole lot more options.

We’re nerding out on a bigger selection of n/a near-b**rs and these are just the new variants to go with our main squeezes. A l***r from Sea Change Brewing Co., specialty brews from One For The Road Brewing, an IPA from Bellwoods Brewery and three b**rs from Drop Bear B**r Co..

It is simply mind boggling how the n/a b**r sector has grown over the last couple years and we’re so excited to find and try new options from around Canada and across the pond.

Spreadable cheeses and yogurt has arrived. We have clotted cream from England, mascarpone from Ontario, Sheep’s Yogurt from Quebec, and two spreadable cheese@from France.

Without sounding too spammy, we don’t get these ones often, so if you’re interested in trying them come out between now and Thanksgiving.

We are back! The farm store is open Thursday and Friday with select cinnamon buns, croissants, and pain au chocolate. Then we are open Saturday with our full lineup of bread and pastries.

Something new! We just brought back pure Northern Alberta honey. Extra extracted last week and available in 400g, 1kg and 3kg containers.

Change of plans: we're OPEN Thursday and Friday.

The Farm Store (180 Enterprise Drive) will still be open this week from 11AM to 6PM along with grab-and-go lunch items.

We will remain closed this Saturday (August 22) as originally planned.

The team looks forward to seeing you.

Visit our kiosk Yellowknife Books, there you will find pantry items, cheese, meats, pasta, sauces, near b**rs, non-alcoholic beverages and many frozen goods.

This is a slow build, so check back regularly.

*August Update* For the past couple months we have been operating at a limited capacity as we are in desperate need of a lead baker. Prospects have been few or hard to onboard due to federal requirements. As such we’ve all been pulling double duty to still bake bread and pastries as frequently as possible.

However to regain some mental and physical health balance while short staffed we will be adjusting our August schedule.

We will NOT be at the Yellowknife Farmers Market August 4th (next week) and August 25th.

Which means we will be at the market August 11th, 18th and all three dates in September.

The Farm Store will also be closed from August 16th to August 26th as we will be out of town visiting family in Edmonton. However our kiosk in Yellowknife Books will remain open with cheese, beverages, pantry items, frozen foods, etc.

Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for your patience. We don’t know when releif will come, but it wont be soon enough.

It’s Alive!

Thank you for your patience, bushorderprovisions is now open in store. We have a selection of the pantry staples, cheese, salami, frozen pizzas, tinned seafood and non alcoholic beverages available for purchase during our business hours.

We have some frozen items but we do not have bread, we will make an announcement when fresh bread deliveries start.

When Farmer Marie is away the ADHD Farmer will play.

Here is a little ditty about a guy name Kyle,
And this is what happens when he is alone for a while.

Whose attention span
is no longer than a frying pan.

He wanders the garden with a task list,
But there is often something that is missed.

From one thing to another,
Which task to start this one or the other.

By the end of the day what was really done?
Not sure, but it was probably fun.

Couldn’t wait for Marie and Elliott to come home.
