Honestly, both. 💜 The mochi is exactly the same and delicious either way, but if you’re in the mood for a little extra texture, crunch or another layer of flavor, we definitely recommend trying the toppings.

From soft daifuku filled with anko, to Kyoto’s triangular nama yatsuhashi, skewered dango and grilled mochi with soy sauce and nori. The world of Japanese rice sweets is much bigger than we imagined.

Different regions, seasons and traditions have their own ways of enjoying it, and that’s something that has always inspired us at Mochi Time.

We love taking that inspiration back to Copenhagen and exploring our own versions, from ice cream mochi to fresh mochi, fruit, creams and seasonal fillings. 💜
