Meat 🥩 , dairy 🥛 , eggs 🥚 , and aquaculture combined, takes up 83% of the world’s farmland 🌍. That’s the vast majority of land we use to grow food. But in return, all of that land only gives us 18% of the calories we eat globally, and 37% of our protein.

In other words: the system we’ve built to feed ourselves is deeply inefficient. Most of the world’s farmland is dedicated to animals, while plant-based foods, grown on a fraction of that land, deliver the majority of what actually keeps us fed. It’s not about villainizing farmers or pretending this is simple, but the math is hard to ignore when we talk about feeding a growing population sustainably.

Every plate 🍽️ that leans plant-based is, in a very literal sense, easier on the land. 🌱

Have you ever noticed that some questions reveal more about the person asking them than the actual answer? 🤔

Most of the time, people are genuinely curious. But sometimes the same talking points get repeated so often that they start sounding less like questions and more like old myths wearing a fake mustache.

The funny part is that a lot of these arguments survived from a time when information was harder to access. Now we carry the entire internet in our pockets, yet somehow some nutrition debates refuse to retire.

To be fair, changing your mind about something you’ve believed for years isn’t easy. We all do it. But every now and then, it’s worth asking whether a belief is backed by evidence... or if it’s just been repeated so many times that it feels true.

So keep asking questions, stay curious, and maybe leave a little room for the answer to surprise you. 😉💜🌱

Record-low water levels in the Danube affected energy production ⚡️, shipping 🛳️, agriculture 🌾, and even nuclear power ☢️ plants in Europe.

Climate change isn’t just about hotter summers. It’s about the systems we depend on every day.

Our food choices are part of that story too. According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), animal agriculture supply chains account for around 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions, while beef production has one of the largest water footprints of any common food.

Understanding connections helps to better decisions and creates real impact. ❤️‍🩹
