Adveram looking for 🏰
16.1h 7yo gelding currently in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿SCOTLAND🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 just outside Ayr.

Leg in each corner type, easy to shoe, load, catch etc, goes alone or in company, front or back. Seen a bit as lives on a working farm with small children and general chaos outside his door daily.

ROR elegible, winner of 2 races over hurdles and retires from racing sound and blemish free with no stable vices. Properly started, knows about gp saddles, legs, contact, straightness, doesn't need months in the field and fairied about with for more months. Only thing I will say is we don't get on using a stirrup but knows about leg up and mounting block. Has seen coloured poles, excellent jumper and has ran over hurdles and fences, just didn't enjoy it at the end. Low-mid 4 figures, home most important. Looking for a new 🏰

Walking proof that if they don't want to do it you can't make them! By a top stallion and out of a multiple winning mare, he doesn't know we had great expectations of him! Adveram is ready to hang up his racing saddle and try out a new career.

7yo gelding about 16.1hh. Born here, full history known (open to vetting as BELIEVE ME we looked for every excuse) and looking for a confident and competent rider. It's a while since this partnership had a winner together so it was nice to get a win in the first race at Ayr Racecourse for Messrs Sinclair, Davidson and Hammersley with The Coffey Boy and William Maggs. The Jewellers Pet ran great carrying 12 stone to finish just over 2 lengths back in third with Alan Doyle.

The 4th race had half brothers Adveram and Coylton King. Coylton King was very unlucky to unseat after the last, we think he won and have told him as much.

Culzean in the last finished last. A big raw type who has been schooling well at home will reappear over hurdles next time.

All are home safe to new shavings bales in their beds and a share of Coffey's winning carrots.

Big ears, big heart and she knows she is Queen Bee 🐝

Celestial Fashion after her 4th career win and our first winner at Wetherby Racecourse 🏇 Ridden by Callum Bewley she jumped well, loved the ground and hacked out today like she has had a week of box rest!

On to Sedgefield Racecourse tomorrow with The Jeweller's Pet and The Coffey Boy, Joe Williamson and Callum Bewley on board.

3 runners at Ayr Racecourse yesterday, all ridden by Alan Doyle and led up by Molly Mcilvaney

Coylton King finished 6th in the first race, a competitive novice hurdle. With 3 clear rounds that will hopefully get him a handicap mark and we can look for more options before the ground dries out.

Maura Jeanne for Land of Burns Racing Club were 2nd two races later in a 3 mile handicap hurdle with an exciting finish. Her half sister Tread Softly Now was 4th later in the card in a 2 mile handicap hurdle.

Thanks to yesterday's lorry driver, plaiting queen and photographer Shirley Justice-Vose who also brought cake for our post racing cuppa!

Quick round up on our other 3 runners from Hexham Racecourse yesterday:

🏇Moira My Love and Alan Doyle were 4th in 2m mares novice hurdle. MML improved on her last run here. She still looks like she has a bit of growing and maturing to do, she is a big girl! She was a lot more settled in the stable yard and parade ring and is picking up her trade as she goes.

🏇Cushendun (pictured) and Callum Bewley were unlucky to bump into a nice one in the next race, a maiden hurdle. He was 2nd by half a length on his 2nd start over hurdles and we hope to see more from him in future.

🏇The Jeweller's Pet, also ridden by Alan, was 4th in a 2m4f handicap chase. Cheekpieces seemed to help and Pet showed much more focus and confidence on his 3rd start over fences. He will run again in the next few weeks.

Next stop hopefully Carlisle for Coylton King who might reroute there after the last meeting he was entered for was forced to cancel like so many others at the moment. Pray to the weather gods to let us keep racing!

A more serious beach post from us this time.

⚠️Check and replace your hats regularly ⚠️

The Charles Owen JS1 hat below was only on its second outing, replacing an older different brand hat, when Shiwon hit the beach head first and was out cold for a few moments, abandonned to the ministrations of a few random men while we captured her horse. Holly said she has never heard anyone hit the ground so loudly 💥

Luckily the new hat did its job and she escaped with minor concussion and will make a gradual return to work next week bearing falling off cake.

While it is tempting to save money riding in a hat that looks ok, this fall was one of those freak things that didn't look like it should have been impressive, just showing you never know the moment - there were no waves or dogs or rodeo tricks involved. The split is deeper than it looks and moves when you poke it.

Coming up to Christmas ask Santa for a new hat if you have any niggles about yours. Shiwon will be back to First Saddlery where the team have a list of current BHA approved skull caps and are well used to us popping in to replace hats.
