Finally got to try 🍜

So excited a new halal food option in Bristol and that too a hand pulled noodle one!!! We got the Noodles with Beef Shank in Broth and the Biang Biang Noodles with Short Rib. Portions were SO generous (I didn’t finish mine!) and the meat was perfectly soft, tender and falling off the bones. Do go early as queues build up especially during lunch time. Already planning my next trip to time to try their mala one!!

I’m excited to bring back my Malaysian Saturday Takeaways starting next weekend. If you fancy something a little different for dinner, here is what is on the menu for the 10th of January. There is a Starter + Main Course or a Main Course + Dessert menu available. This week features some brand new items as well as a customer favourite, Curry Laksa for the Mains. Vegetarian option only available with the main course + dessert set. If you do have any allergies or other dietary requirements, please message me before placing the order!

📆 Order closes on Wednesday morning (7th January) or sooner if we hit maximum capacity.

💳 Each set is £17.50 and serves one person. The food will be delivered chilled with heating instructions provided. Delivery for BS9 is available (+£2.50) or free pick up available from BS9 2AP between 5 to 7 pm. You will receive an email with the delivery time or pickup address on the Saturday morning of the takeaway (please check your junk mail too!)

Starter: Pulut Panggang

A traditional Malaysian snack made with steamed glutinous rice filled with a chicken rendang floss. The rice is wrapped in banana leaves then baked till crispy. Contains: Dairy, Gluten, Sesame, Soy

Mains: Nyonya Mee Kari

Yellow noodles served with a fragrant curry broth cooked with galangal, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, ginger & coconut milk. Completed with a garnishing of fresh mint, sliced chilies and crispy shallots. Served with poached chicken, fishballs, beansprouts, French Beans, boiled eggs and tofu puffs. Contains: Celery, Crustacean, Dairy, Eggs, Fish, Gluten, Nuts, Sesame, Soy

Vegetarian: served with fried crispy tempeh, mushroom tempura, fresh beansprouts, French Beans, boiled eggs and tofu puffs. Contains: Celery, Dairy, Eggs, Gluten, Nuts, Sesame, Soy

Dessert: Bubur Pulut Hitam

Rice pudding like you’ve never had it before! Slow-cooked black glutinous rice gently sweetened with palm sugar and served with a creamy salted coconut milk. Can be eaten warm or chilled. Contains: Dairy

Although much of it wasn’t on social media, behind the scenes of 2025 was filled with long days in the kitchen, caterings, full cooking classes, travelling to new places, family reunions and a lot of growth.

Last day to order for this week! Only a few more spots for the last takeaway of 2025. What a year it has been, thank you to everyone who has ordered from me! I’m forever grateful for your support. We’ll be back next year with even more offerings and new dishes to excite your taste buds!

For the last takeaway, of course we had to make it special so we’re serving Nasi Lemak (Malaysia’s national dish) with your choice of Chicken Rendang or Spiced Fried Chicken. For vegetarians, we’re offering some street-food favourites: Lion’s Mane Mushroom Satay with Peanut Sauce and Fried Noodles.

Starter: Pai Tee (Crispy Pastry filled with Sauteed Vegetables)
Also known as "Top Hats", these crispy pastry tart shells are filled with a mixture of sauteed turnips, carrots and French beans then topped with spring onions and omelette. Drizzle with sweet chilli sauce just before serving! Contains: Gluten, Eggs, Sesame, Soya

Chicken Mains:
Nasi Lemak: Fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk, star anise, cinnamon, ginger & pandan leaves. Served with onion sambal, crispy anchovies, hard-boiled eggs, roasted peanuts and sliced cucumber. Contains: Dairy, Nuts (Peanuts), Eggs, Fish, Soy

Choose between:

Chicken Rendang: Rich and spicy stew made by slow-cooking boneless chicken pieces in herbs and spices (over 20!), coconut milk and toasted coconut. Contains: Dairy, Nuts

Spiced Fried Chicken: Chicken on the bone marinated overnight in aromatic Malay spices then deep-fried. Served with crispy curry leaves. Contains: Gluten, Egg, Nuts

Vegetarian Mains:
Fried Noodles: Egg noodles cooked in a sweet & spicy soy sesame sambal with crunchy beansprouts, carrots, cabbage, and spring onions. Topped with crispy onions and rolled egg omelette. Contains: Celery, Gluten, Egg, Soy, Sesame

Mushroom and Vegetable Satay: Lion’s mane mushrooms, courgette, peppers, baby corn and red onions marinated in satay spices then grilled. Served with chunky Malaysian-style peanut sauce. Contains: Gluten, Nuts (PEANUTS)

Cravings sorted.

This weekend’s Saturday Takeaway star of the menu was definitely the Nasi Kerabu — fresh, vibrant and SPICY 🌶️ served with Ayam Percik on the side and a Murtabak and Vegetable Dal starter! Thank you to those that ordered, see you in 2 weeks time!
