🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL CUSTOMERS EXPECTING BEES NEXT WEEK 🚨

Every customer due to receive bees next week has been emailed today regarding an important delivery update.

Due to forecast temperatures potentially exceeding 27°C next week, we have made the responsible decision NOT to send any bees through the postal system next week.

For logistical reasons, we had to make this decision today and have therefore cancelled our Royal Mail collection for next Tuesday.

This decision has not been taken lightly, however the welfare of the bees must come first.

Live bees can overheat extremely quickly in vans, depots and delivery vehicles during extreme temperatures. Once they enter the postal network, we have no control over airflow or vehicle temperatures, and posting bees in these conditions would place them at serious risk.

As beekeepers ourselves, we will never knowingly put bees into unsafe transport conditions simply to keep to a delivery date.

All affected customers have therefore been offered:
✅ Collection appointments next week
OR
✅ Delivery postponed to the following week when temperatures are hopefully cooler.

We understand many customers are excited to receive their bees, but we are sure everyone would agree that receiving healthy, live bees safely is far more important than risking unnecessary losses in transit.
