💔 OUR SHOP IS CLOSING 💔
I honestly never thought I’d be writing this post, and it’s taken a lot for me to finally put it into words.
6 years ago, our little lockdown business became something really special. What started out as an idea turned into something I absolutely loved, and owning my own sweet shop was a dream come true!
But the reality is, running a small independent business is harder now than it has ever been. Our high streets are quieter, customers understandably have less money to spend, and yet our bills and running costs just keep going up. No matter how much you love what you do, sometimes the numbers simply don’t add up anymore. 💔
With a little one on the way, our family is growing, and this exciting new chapter means it’s time for me to focus on what matters most. ❤️
So, with a very heavy heart, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Sugared Candy.
📅 Our last day of trading will be Saturday 31st October.
I’m sad to be closing a business I’ve poured my heart into, but I’m also excited to spend more time with my family and embrace this next chapter of our lives. ❤️
A HUGE thank you to every single person who has supported us over the last 6 years. Whether you’ve popped in for a bag of sweets, bought an ice cream, ordered gifts, supported us at events, shared our posts or simply recommended us to a friend, you’ve all played a part in our journey.

Behind every little shop is a real person, a family, a dream and often years of hard work. We can’t compete with the prices and buying power of the big retailers, but every single pound spent locally makes a difference.
If we lose our independent shops, we lose so much more than just somewhere to shop. We lose the heart of our high streets, the people who make our towns unique and the little businesses that make our communities special.
