We are proud to be a family business and it’s something we truly celebrate as we know how special this is. We loved capturing photos of two of the Reeder brothers, Ben and James working together at our recent photoshoot.

Ben is our operations manager and many of you will know James from being out and about at industry events working on our marketing activity and social media, he also supports our night operations giving him valuable involvement across multiple areas of the business.

The Young National Chef of the Year has revealed its 2026 semi-finalists and the live cook-offs are back, with heats taking place in Sheffield and London for the first time since before the pandemic.

The semi-final brief begins with a 30-minute skills test to butcher a whole Gressingham Duck, followed by a duck main course for two before finishing with a pre-dessert designed as a refreshing transition between the savoury main course and the final dessert.

Huge congratulations to everyone through to the next stage and we can’t wait to meet you at the semi-finals.

The 40 semi-finalists for this year’s National Chef of the Year have officially been announced. This is always a big moment in the competition calendar, shining a light on the chefs who have earned their place in the next stage of one of the most respected titles in the hospitality industry.

We’re proud to support a competition that celebrates skill, ambition and the future of the UK’s culinary talent. Congratulations to all the chefs!

Congratulations to one of our fabulous customers who won the award for Best New Coffee Shop. As regular buyers of we wanted to celebrate their success so Alex visited with a special gift from the Allan Reeder team.

This is a Kenyan coffee shop and this is their first branch outside of Nairobi. 👏

It’s been another busy week of deliveries across London here at Allen Reeder. All sorted by our fabulous team who work day and night to keep supplying the top hotels, restaurants, bars, bakeries and coffee shops in the capital.

Yesterday James and Asal attended the Craft Guild of Chefs AGM and lunch and we have some exciting news. Allan Reeder received a Company Award after being nominated by Steve Munkley MBE who said:

“Having only been a business partner for a couple of years, this company and especially Heidi Reeder has made a big impact supporting multiple initiatives that the Guild deliver. Their proactive approach to assisting the projects, especially the Young National Chef of the Year has been forward thinking and with the use of social media beneficial to both parties.”

We love working on the NCOTY and YNCOTY competitions and are over the moon that this partnership has been recognised.

Whilst you may have seen us supporting lots of culinary events over the last few months, our support goes wider than that.

We were proud to sponsor at the EBPF County Blackball Finals which is one of the biggest grassroots pool events in England. Competitions like this rely on long‑term backing to give players of all ages the chance to compete, progress and represent their counties at the highest level.

We’re especially proud to support Hampshire County teams and to back Mick Warner, who is our daytime logistics manager and a valued member of our team. Alongside his role with us, Mick is Captain of Hampshire’s County A Pool team and an international England player.

One week on from the exceptional Roux Scholarship finals, we are reflecting on a very special evening of celebration.

Heidi and James Reeder enjoyed catching up and connecting with some of the most respected chefs in the country. We love this photo of them alongside this year’s winner Harrison Brockington, Michel Roux Jr, Alain Roux and guest judge Mauro Colagreco.
