We loved being part of the Hospitality Action Winter Chefs’ Dinner and welcoming some of our industry friends to join us at the Allan Reeder table.

It was a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy a brilliant evening and support a charity that does so much for people working across hospitality.

Even better, the night raised more than £88,000 for Hospitality Action - well done to everyone who supported the event.

You may have already spotted Chef Ronnie Murray appearing across our social channels, from the recent National Chef of the Year and Young National Chef of the Year mentor days to the celebration event. Today, we’re delighted to officially welcome Ronnie as our Chef Ambassador.

We’ve worked with Ronnie for 25 years and love how he shares our passion for great food, strong supplier relationships and championing the people behind every ingredient. Through his work, he’ll help us tell the stories of British farming, showcase outstanding produce, share recipes and inspire chefs in all sectors.

We’re excited about what’s to come and can’t wait to share more of Ronnie’s journey with the Allan Reeder family.

Today we celebrate 55 years of Allan Reeder Ltd. We are incredibly proud of Allan and everything he has achieved, as well as the Reeder family and the many colleagues who have been part of our journey over the last five and a half decades. Their hard work and dedication have helped shape the business into what it is today.

James recently spent time with Vladimir Hromek, development chef at Cambridge Dining Co, to learn more about the culinary experiences that have helped him secure a place in this year’s National Chef of the Year final. We also took along some Allan Reeder dairy goodies to help him prepare for the final.

Over the summer, James caught up with Byron Franklin, executive chef at Ancient Shepherds by Mark Poynton, to talk all things NCOTY. From competition preparation to balancing the new day job, it’s a reminder of just how much work goes into reaching this stage.
