For our founder, Allan Reeder, success was never handed on a plate. Allan’s achievements have been earned through hard work and his belief in building something he and his family could be proud of.

Starting with a single van in 1971, Allan spent years working six days a week, often without a holiday, while taking on extra work cleaning windows on Sundays to support his young family. That same dedication helped turn a small family business into one of London’s most trusted dairy suppliers.

More than 50 years later, the values Allan built the company on still shape the way we work. And while the business has grown, you’ll still find Allan in the office, doing what he loves.

It’s been a busy week for James, getting everything ready for some important deliveries. We’re proud to be supplying breakfast items and refreshing juices for the National Chef of the Year and Young National Chef of the Year semi-finals in London tomorrow.

James has also packed up a few gifts for every competitor…including a pair of lucky socks.

A little bit of luck goes a long way…

At The Craft Guild of Chefs NCOTY and YNCOTY semi-finals in Sheffield, competitors and judges were greeted with their very own pair of Allan Reeder ‘lucky cow’ socks. This was a little gesture to bring smiles before the more serious business began in the kitchen.

We loved seeing the reactions to this gift and can’t wait to hand out more socks at the London semi-finals. Who will be the first chef to put theirs on?
