August is full of feel good events and great reasons to get out there. Because making the most of summer doesn’t have to mean travelling far or planning weeks ahead. Sometimes it’s about discovering something new after work or trying an activity you’ve never done before.

This August, On Our Ray-dar is spotlighting four London events bringing creativity, culture and community into the sunshine:

Summer Sounds King's Cross N1C Coal Drops Yard: From 13th to 23rd August, Coal Drops Yard hosts 11 days of free open-air music in the heart of King’s Cross. Expect folk, jazz, soul, classical and indie performances, with something different to discover each evening.

Greenwich+Docklands International Festival Greenwich + Docklands International Festival: Between 21st August - 6th September, streets, parks and public spaces across East and South East London become the stage for free outdoor theatre, circus, dance and performances from more than 25 companies.

Cyanotype Workshop Home Deptford: On 20th August, artist Matt David leads a prasctical introduction to the historic camera-free process of cyanotype. Use sunlight to create your own distinctive blue and white print, with no previous experience needed.

Canada Water London presents: On The Stage: Throughout August, Canada Water’s floating stage hosts a free waterside programme of live music, poetry, talks, salsa and outdoor cinema, celebrating London’s creative energy by the dock.

Sun’s out, nature is calling.

Last weekend we teamed up with and for a day of breathwork, sauna sessions and cold plunges out in the Surrey Hills.

Our friends at Camp Wild led us to a family-run farm doing brilliant work restoring habitats and boosting biodiversity. The perfect backdrop to slow down, breathe deep and go in and out of the sauna.

Getting to reset with new friends, good conversation and a lot of laughs is a great reminder of what actually makes us feel good.
