Nicola Bergaglio Minaia Gavi del Comune di Gavi

The nose is bursting with green apple pear, lemon and lime, with gentle notes of white flowers and wet stone.
The palate is dry and medium-bodied with characteristic crisp acidity. The citrus and tree fruit are joined by peach and apricot and hints of tropical fruit.
There is a light creaminess and a touch of honey, with almond, fresh herbs, and a flinty minerality on the long finish. Complex but easy-drinking and refreshing, this is a beautifully pure expression of the Cortese grape.
This is a wine that's happy by itself, but Gavi is a perfect accompaniment to seafood and pasta dishes. For a real treat, try with scallops.
