I’m taking a few days off… but the pastry lover in me clearly didn’t get the memo.
So I couldn’t resist sharing some of the incredible sweets I’m discovering in Japan.
I’m currently in Tsumago, a beautiful historic area along the old Nakasendō route, where the Edo-period atmosphere is still alive. 🍂
This region is famous for its chestnuts, persimmons and traditional Japanese sweets, or wagashi. 🌰🍊
And the local Kurikinton, made from chestnuts and sugar, is simply incredible.
I found a shop whose creations have even won awards… and after tasting them:
💯 I completely understand why.
Definitely, I love this part of my work 😍
