Day 14 of Making Morningcider a Household Name!
We’re all seeing soooo many posts announcing that another beloved café, bar or restaurant is closing down! We all know the cost of living is BRUTAL!!!
But often, the comments are full of people saying how much they loved it and how sad they are to see it go.
But love expressed after a business closes can’t pay the staff, rent, suppliers or power bill.
Hospitality is facing a brutal combination of rising costs, cautious customers, tight margins and accumulated debt. Many good operators are doing everything they can and still struggling—not because they have lost their passion or stopped working hard, but because the numbers have become increasingly difficult to make work.
Around 60% of Morningcider’s volume goes through hospitality, so this affects us directly. But this isn’t a request to visit bars that sell Morningcider.
Go support the places you care about.
The local café. The family restaurant. The tiny wine bar. The pub showing the game. The new place taking a risk on something different.
You don’t have to spend a fortune. A coffee, a meal, a drink, a booking, a review or telling a friend all helps.
Don’t wait until the closing announcement to say you loved the place.
Support it while it’s still here.
