After the rush of a busy harvest, winter's arrival in the winery looks a lot different - calm, cool days mean our team are tucked inside barreling down our Pinot Noir. Here, it'll stay safely ageing for the next 12 months in oak.
A quietly rewarding task which we look forward to every year...

This May, our woolly lawn mowers moved into the vineyard, and don't they look right at home?

We love relying on these gorgeous gals to do some grass and w**d control during the winter months, they not only keep the w**ds in check but also fertilize the ground & vines in the process.

We know that it's already 2026 but having just received the print version, we couldn't be more proud to represent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 💚 A testament to our windblown clay terroirs, our belief in organic management and the excellence of the 2024 vintage, the Waimaunga Sauvignon Blanc 2024 found its way to the Top 10 🍾

Sunny days, cool nights - this is what making cool-climate wine in Marlborough is all about ✨🥂

We've been loving the quintessential Marlborough Autumn here in the Wairau Valley in 2026. This amazing period where the days are sunny, warm and filled with light are in almost perfect balance with the night - cool, calm and dry.

We're seeing an amazing development in flavour and expression in our Pinot Noirs; while the Sauvignon Blanc needs a little more time to ripen over the upcoming weeks.
What makes it all so much more special is that we have an amazing team and a great in-house photographer to capture it all 💚

With a cool breeze in the air, a bit of a cloud cover and big smiles, we harvested the first fruit of 2026 today!

Starting strong with Pinot Noir destined for our methode traditionnelle 'Solange', we were thrilled with the conditions to retain the freshness and bright notes we love to see in the sparkling.
Not to mention, this marks our earliest harvest on record, beating only last year when we started on the 1st March 🥂
