Manning Ridge Farm We are a beef cattle farm; we plant and harvest soybeans, corn, hay & small grains. In 2013, my husband and I purchased an old farm in Afton, MN.

We are both "farm" kids who love the country and love making things better! We will continuing to improve on the property and our community as much as we possibly can. We make custom ordered grass and alfalfa hay, have chickens and sell Farm Fresh Eggs and popcorn. We are available for hire to plant, plow, haul, do skid loader projects and clean ups! We are planning to continue to grow with our community, so feel free to let us know of innovative things that will help us serve our community better!

Last Spring Farmer Charlie was playing games to keep planting interesting… 🧐 I would say there is quite the difference between 94 and 99 day corn! 🌽

Happy to have gotten some cover crops planted before the rain yesterday! We plant cover crops to promote soil health in our fields!

💀We are ready!! Hats off to Halloween season and hopefully the end of road construction season! 🛑

🌱 Harvest season + road construction = a little farm detour!

We’re dodging the cones and getting these soybeans in! 🌱💪

Soybeans go on to make cooking oils, livestock feed, biodiesel, soy foods, and many everyday products. Pretty amazing what comes from just a little seed!🌾

🌾 Harvest season is here! 🌾

Please be patient with the slow-moving equipment on the roads and in the fields. 🚜 You might even see a couple of little boys behind the wheel, learning the family business. ❤️

They’re learning big lessons about hard work, responsibility, and farming — and you can help teach them some good driving lessons, too! 😉 Give them plenty of room, be patient, slow down, and remember that a little patience goes a long way.

Slow down. Give us a little space. And help us keep our farmers — especially our littlest ones — safe this harvest season! 🌾🚜
